Chapter 8: The Beta Family

“Hey daddy, mommy.” Kolby chirped sitting down next to her mom.  “What’s going on?  And why does he smell like Kyde?” She asked pointing at Dakota; a small tint of pink covered the tips of his ears.  “Alright!  That’s it!  Both of you stay quiet so I can explain the day’s events.” Karson growled in frustration.  “Okay, okay.  Geeze daddy don’t have a conniption.” Karson glared at his youngest pup.  She giggled and then motioned zipping her lips, locking them and handed him the ‘key’.  She motioned for him to continue.  She’s fifteen going on sixteen and she’s already the death of him.

“Kydence has found her mate.” he just blurted out before there were any more interruptions.  “What?” both Kora and Kolby squealed bouncing with excitement.  “Who is he?  Is he running with her? Is that why Kasper is following them?  He needs to come to dinner.  Oh, my Goddess, is he part of the pack?  Is he younger
