Lacey dropped to her knees in the snow, knowing that she could not go on. She did not have the strength to carry on for even another inch. The wet snow came up to her hips, freezing her even more than she already was. She felt the muscles in her legs stiffening to a painful degree as the cold took it's toll on her battered body.
