Chapter Six.

Alessia.

How stupid right? How stupid that I smile foolishly at the thought of the new guy, Harden. The instant we parted ways in school, he was all I thought about throughout the day. There's just something about him. He's strange yet so...... loveable. We've only known each other for a whole day but I think about him like we've known each other for so long.

There is something about him. Something spooky, especially when I look at his eyes. The way he stares at me, the way he speaks so flirtatiously, the way he knows what to say. It's like he could read my fucking mind and know exactly what I wanna say.

Walking him through the school had been a lot more fun than I'd expected and when I had to leave, it kinda stung a bit. And now I'm back home looking forward to seeing him tomorrow.

But I couldn't completely ignore this eerie feeling I have about him. Sure, he's super handsome and cute, loveable, just what every young girl would want in a guy but.....yeah, there's always a but. He said he just moved into town with his family. Then he should probably be on the 'rich guy's belt but he looks way too average. He looks like a guy who would fit into the jocks category in school but he doesn't seem to wanna be part of a gang. He looks like your good guy from the bad guys movie. He's smile is exactly the charmer and when he talked, his teeth shone so brightly.

Harden.

I retrieved my phone from my bedside lamp stand and tried searching him on F******k. I typed in his name but couldn't find any f******k user who matched him. Nothing. That's strange.

Just as I was about to put away my phone, a message popped in. I sighed deeply as Patrick's name reflected above the message. I reluctantly clicked it open.

Pat: Hey Kitty, me and the guys are going for a ride. Wanna come?

I rolled my eyes dramatically like he were there to see me. Going out with him and his stupid pack of friends is the worst experience ever for me. He's always too full of himself. He doesn't care about me. He just takes me along and puts me on the front seat of his porsh convertible car for a show, then drive us to some stupid place and do crazy things like diving from a tall bridge into the water while he's almost naked to the butt or just standing around and picking on people who walks by. How could I wanna be a part of that when he's even asking politely now?

I decided to type back a reply without causing any more scene.

Me: no thanks. I'm trying to study.

He reads it instantly and starts typing. This is gonna be a really long conversation....

Pat: that's boring. Come on, we broke up and that's fine. Can't we be friends at least?

Me: I have to study, patrick.

Pat: this is just the beginning of the term, kitty. What are you studying for?

Angrily, I typed back.

Me: stop calling me that! And I need to pick up my grades so if you don't mind, I'm studying.

Pat: okay. Suit yourself.

Huh. That moron. I should probably block his damn number. I threw my phone away and laid back on the other side of the bed.

I woke up with the blaring sound of my alarm clock. I groaned angrily and reached over my bedside table to switch it off. It's not on my arm's reach. I grunt more angrily and pushed my body closer to reach it. I grabbed it and hit the 'stop' button. Who the hell set an alarm?!!

Realizing that it was no other person but Allen, I rose up angrily and stormed out towards his room, the clock in hand. I let myself into his room to find him bare chested, a yellow towel wrapped around his waist. He's walking out of his bathroom, his body draping wet.

The instant he saw me, he made a surprised face and covered his nipples with his hands. Think I'll say breasts? Yeah right.....

"Don't you know what's called knocking?!" He screamed.

Ignoring his stupid complain, I put up the clock in my hand for him to see. "Why the hell did you set an alarm on my clock?!" I demanded angrily.

"Geez....you are you so cranky these days" He replied, walking past me to a table. I turned around to face him, ready to rain thunders on him with my mouth when I heard my name being called from downstairs.

"Alessia!" My mom called loudly "Patrick's here to see you!!"

Allen laughs, giving me a mocking face before saying "looks like your boyfriend's here to pick you up for school"

"He's not my boyfriend" I replied before walking out of his room and heading downstairs, not caring about the fact that I was still on my blue cotton pajamas.

Below sat Patrick, a big smile on his face as he talked with my mother who sat across from him. He looks up the moment he noticed me coming, his smile growing big.

"You're not ready yet?" My mom asks, shocked as she watched me stop before the stairs.

"That's okay, Miranda. I can wait" Patrick replied sweetly.

"Do you wanna wait up in her room dear?" She asks him.

"No!" I quickly replied " I'm.....my room's a mess and I'm....just gonna get ready" I ran back up the stairs, probably leaving them Wondering what was wrong with me. But what was wrong is that I fucking broke up with Patrick!

I quickly took a shower and dressed up in a yellow stripped white tank top and a faded blue pegged jeans. For the past months I've been having trouble getting into my skinny jeans. I always manage to pull them up my thighs and then they stop right below my butt area. The wider ones fits after I've done a series of jumping for them to go over my butt but I can't do that anymore. The size of my butt has been increasing rapidly for the past months and I've developed likeness for my other jeans like the mom jeans, boyfriend and pegged jeans. They're easier for me to wear even though they still pretty much accentuated my butt size and hips curves. Not that I didn't enjoy the feeling though.

I pulled my hair back into a low ponytail and grabbed my bag. I walked down the stairs to meet patrick. He walks us out after bidding my mom goodbye before we got into his car and he drove out.

I remained silent and looked straight to the road at the front as he drove out of our property and into the quiet neighborhood street. As we approached Tephanie's house, I'm quick to notice her again from her window. Her head is popped out towards the road and as always, she's dressed up.

"Hey assholes!" She screams as Patrick slowered down before her window "what's up!?"

"You coming to school or what?" I asked her, loud enough so she could hear me from up there.

"Yes I am! Got my car fixed you know" she replied with the same amount of energy in her voice.

"What the fuck did you stop us for then?!" Patrick asked, announced.

"Oh I didn't know you went by the name 'asshole', Patty!" She screamed back.

Patrick puts his head back into his car, obviously annoyed by Tephanie's reply and drove off. I held back a laughter. Obviously someone had to put him in his place sometimes.

"Are you okay, Kitty?" He asked as we got on the street, heading towards the school.

"Yeah, I'm good"

"Well I haven't been okay"

"I didn't ask"

"I just....." He trailed off "can you just please stop acting this way, Leesha. We both know you can't break up with me"

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"You know exactly what it means, Kitty"

"You're so unbelievable, Patrick. I do not love you, what part of that don't you understand?"

"Well I still love you" he turns to look at me for a long while before looking back at the road.

"Listen I'm sorry about everything," he added "I'm sorry about how I treat you, I know I'm an asshole all the time. I'm sorry I don't pay much attention to you. And I promise, I'm gonna change i swear. I know what I did back at the quarter was stupid, I should've listened to you, should've stopped when you asked me to."

I remained silent, not really knowing exactly what to say to that. Our school soon comes into view.

"Can we go out later?" He continued "I know this really nice place outside the city. We could stay for the night cause....... we'll be staying at my Dad's hotel close by"

I turned a wired look at him. What the fuck was wrong with him?

Seeing the look on my face, he said "I'm sorry.....I mean....you can choose a place of your choice. Wherever you wanna go tonight"

"Listen, Patrick.....I can't.. I can't do this anymore"

"What can't you do anymore? We're just going to eat and ......hang out" he pulls to a stop on our school's parking lot and fully turned to face me now.

"Listen.....I don't love you Pat," I told him honestly " I never did. All these we've been having, 'us', it was never really my idea. I could point out many guys I like at this school but.....not you"

He stares at me for a while, scoffed and looked down before looking back up to me again and said "this is about that guy from the quarter right? He's attending this school now right? I saw you two together yesterday, you don't have to lie"

"I wasn't gonna lie Pat," I replied " and this doesn't have anything to do with him so you better leave him alone"

"Alright, kitty" he scoffed and pushed his door open.

I walked out of the car too and headed in after him through the hallway. My first class was at the chemistry lab and I was already a few minutes late. I hurried down the hall and took a turn towards the lab room. Once at the door I pushed it open to find Mr James whipping the board. Mr James is one of the youngest teachers that taught at our school and he's really nice and friendly. He wears a pretty cool glasses and knows exactly what he's doing when he's teaching his chemicals.

"Good morning, Mr James" I greeted him, sighting Ashley the the back seat through my peripheral view. She holds her hands up, telling me she saved a seat for me while making wired questioning faces.

"Miss Winters! You're late today I see" he said jovially.

Throwing him a smile while walking away, I replied "it won't happen again, Sir!"

"That is a promise then!" He replied sweetly, going back to wiping his chalkboard.

Pulling my bag from my shoulder, I dumped it on the white table where Ashley sat.

"Why were you so late?!" She asked, annoyance all over her face.

"What?" I sat beside her "missed me already?"

"You bet I did" she laughs quietly.

"Alright, quiet down class!" Mr James called out, his eyes sending a warning to Ashley and I.

Just then, as I watched him, I caught sight of another body walking in through the door beside Mr James. Mr James stops talking and turned to the door.

That's when I saw who walked in.

Harden. A backpack slung over one of his shoulders, his deep chocolate hair falling across his eyebrows, his lips moving swiftly as he smiled at Mr James, then said something I couldn't hear because I was zoned off, staring at him like he had some messages imprinted on him. And just like that I felt my heart skip a painful beat, then the beating intensified when he looked towards the class and locked eyes with me.

I gasped for air.
