ZAHRA-ROSE

My eyes snapped open, the morning sun streaming through the window in warm golden streaks. I rubbed my eyes, trying to piece together where I was and how I ended up in a bed instead of the ground or a cell.

“You’re finally awake.”

The cold bite of his voice shattered the silence in the room. My head whipped toward the sound, my heart wobbling in my chest.

Ashvin sat in a chair in the far corner, a cup in his hand. His bright blue eyes looked shadowed, the lines beneath them deeper than I remembered. Had he stayed there all night, watching me?

Eira gave a restless growl in the back of my mind, ready to push forward. I shoved her down. I needed this morning to think, to just exist, without my wolf crowding my thoughts.

My mind felt foggy, memories dull. The only thing I knew for sure was that I was still in the human realm and…..

Oh.

It came back to me in sharp flashes, enough to make my stomach twist.

I ran my hands over my face, my body tensing as my gaze locked on him aga

ZAHRA-ROSEThe rumor was spreading too fast.I first heard it last night while I was taking Eira for a run. It hit me so hard I nearly lost my footing, my breath knocking out of my lungs as if someone had struck me from behind. At first, I dismissed it. Maybe they had caught my scent as we came running and decided to spin another meaningless story, something to rattle me, to hurt me.Or so I thought. Now, sitting across from my sister at the dinner table while she chatted endlessly about her day, I couldn’t stop replaying the whispers in my head. The looks being thrown our way only confirmed it. Every bowed head, every averted gaze, it was all there. They had heard it too.“Are you even listening to me?”Maliah dropped her spoon, the sharp clink snapping me out of my thoughts.“Of course,” I said quickly, forcing a small smile that didn’t reach my eyes. Was any of this even real?‘Your sister would never betray you like that,’ Eira said firmly, but even she couldn’t know the truth. N

ASHVINHer scent hits me before I even open the door, soft pine, moonlit warmth, and a faint tremor of sadness that slices through my chest like a blade. It calls to the wolf in me, demanding I go to her, hold her, and tell her everything is a lie. But lies are what got us here. When I step inside, she’s standing by the bed, her eyes swollen from holding back tears she won’t let fall. The moment our eyes meet, the bond flares, sharp and merciless. Pain ripples across my chest, her pain, and mine tangled together, impossible to tell apart.“Zahra-Rose.” Her name leaves my lips like a prayer I have no right to say.She stiffens, her breath trembling. “Is it true?” Her voice cracks, soft and breaking. “Are you really… looking for someone to replace me?”The words lodge in my throat. Every instinct in me howls to deny it, to fall to my knees and tell her no one could ever take her place. But I’ve already seen what happens when the pack doubts their Luna. When the council doubts me.“I hav

ZAHRA-ROSEStretching my hand, a sweet scent of pine and smoke drifted into my senses, and I inhaled deeply, letting it wrap around me.It was him, he must have walked into the room while I was still dead asleep. A new day.And I had no idea what it held for me.‘You’re still alive,’ Eira taunted, her voice teasing inside my mind.A small, unwilling smile touched my lips. My body ached from yesterday’s bruises, but it was my pride that hurt the most. The sting of humiliation was far deeper than any physical wound.‘They think we are weak,’ Eira hissed, ‘or maybe they fear the strength we haven’t unleashed yet.’I sighed softly, stepping out of bed.“Are we really holding back strength, or are we truly weak, Eira?”I didn’t wait for her answer, I didn’t want to.As I opened the door, hushed voices carried through the hallway, faint but clear enough for my sharpened hearing to catch every word. Two she-wolves. Whispering.“She really wants to be Luna? A Luna that weak will only make

ALPHA ASHVIN“What do you mean, an emergency council meeting?”Still punching the training bag in front of me, I asked Kai, who had just stepped into the gym to deliver the news. He didn’t answer right away, just stood there, arms folded, waiting while I continued to release the frustration that had been clawing at my chest these past few days. Each strike landed harder than the last, echoing through the empty room. Zen stirred restlessly inside me, pacing. The scent of sweat and raw tension filled the air. Finally, I caught the swinging bag, stopping it midair and turning toward Kai.He stepped closer and offered a towel. I wiped my face, feeling the heat still coursing through me, before tossing the towel over my shoulder and giving him a hard look.“I think they’re already gathered, waiting for you in the chambers,” he said quietly.Of course they were.An emergency council meeting a day after what happened with Zahra-Rose, yeah, this one was about me. They didn’t even

ZAHRA-ROSEWith my head resting on his shoulder as he carried me out of the arena, by the Moon Goddess, I wanted to disappear.I felt weak, small even. Every pair of eyes followed us as he walked, and I could feel their laughter like claws raking over my skin. Some smirked, others whispered. The humiliation burned so deep I wished the earth would open up and swallow me whole. But Ashvin never stopped. Not when my sister called after him, not when his mother barked orders for him to come back. He kept walking, his stride long, commanding, unrelenting. He didn’t stop until we reached the gates. He opened the car door and lowered me gently inside, his expression unreadable, but his wolf, Zen, still hummed low under his skin. Protective. Angry.I sighed, not from exhaustion but from the weight pressing on my chest. The humiliation. The ache. The betrayal. There were moments in that arena I thought I wouldn’t get up. Moments I thought maybe they had finally gotten what they wanted.I remem

  • The Stripper Alpha   Chapter 53

ALPHA ASHVINThere’s only one thing I have decided to do today, find out how it was possible for my mate, Zahra-Rose, and Kairo to use their powers in the human realm. The first time I crossed into the human world, years ago, I learned the hard way that a wolf’s strength meant nothing there. Our powers, our senses, our connection to the Moon, all of it vanished like mist under the sun.I still remember that day. Sitting in a human restaurant, surrounded by laughter and idle chatter, I had tried to listen in, to test how far my hearing stretched. I inclined my ears, reaching for the murmurs… nothing. Even Zen, my wolf, tried to focus through the noise, but the silence that met us was unnatural. It was the first time I truly understood what it meant to be powerless. But two days ago, everything I thought I knew shattered. I watched Kairo use his power freely in the human realm. And then I saw Zahra-Rose, my mate, wield hers with the same ease.It shouldn’t have been possible. Not u
