In the Future

CHAPTER TWO.

Celine who lives in a different time from Aaron. In the time where the world is already getting destroyed. She flees from her home after it's destruction, and then comes across the future Aaron.

Celine ran through the woods as she kept turning to look behind her. The sound of people running was almost closing up to her. Her dress got stuck in a growth of stems on the floor. She tucked at her dress to pull it out. She realized she was wasting time, so she tore her dress and she continued running. She saw a small cave and quickly went into it. There was a pool of water in the cave, she decided to enter into the water and stayed still, holding her breath.

A group of men- soldiers ran into the cave and looked around. They didn't see her. "How could you allow a little witch to steal from you?"one of the soldiers spoke to a much younger soldier. The world is in chaos and we need all the supplies we can get, but you let a witch steal from you. He continued shouting at the soldier.

Celine was already finding it difficult to hold her breath, she was using the little power she had left to stay under water and she couldn't hold on anymore.

"Let's go." The soldier said. They left and went out of the cave. Celine waited for some minutes before coming out of the water, taking deep and enough breaths, she calmed herself. She pulled a slice of bread from underneath her dress. It was already soaked with water, but she ate it regardless. Stealing the bread wasn't easy. After she was done eating, she drank from the pool of water and then laid down to rest.

Images from how her world was before she got here came to her mind. Her world had suddenly begun to crumble. She had visions before it happened and she told her parents. Her parents never believed any of her visions because they never came to reality.

When she saw the vision of her world and every other world getting destroyed, she ran to her parents room to tell them but they shunned her away. When it happened, their eyes were filled with horror and they looked at her like they finally believed her. It was too late to tell her they believed her because they were dead already. The balls of fire that fell from the sky had killed her parents and many other people. Her world was destroyed beyond redemption and everyone was finding ways to leave. She quickly made a portal and teleported to the werewolves world.

It wasn't any different in the werewolves world, their world was equally thrown into destruction and chaos.

She came out of her thoughts and sat up. She stood up, deciding she had rested Enough, and began walking. She didn't have any destination in mind but she knew she had to keep on walking.

She had been walking for hours and she was tired already. She saw a big tree and decided to sit under it. She knew staying in the open like this wasn't safe but her legs wouldn't go further anymore. From just closing her eyes to rest a bit, she slept off.

She opened her eyes and saw she was no longer under the tree in the woods. She was in a building that looked like a palace. She began walking like she knew where she was going. She walked past people but they seemed oblivious of her presence. They smelt like werewolves.

The world was in chaos and these werewolves were acting like they didn't know. She wondered.

Her legs stopped walking as she stood in front of a door. Something behind that door was calling her but she couldn't put a finger on what it was. She was about to open the door when she was suddenly jolted out of her dream. She quickly opened her eyes and saw that she was back in the woods. She was trying to understand what she just saw when she noticed that she wasn't alone. Standing in front of her was a man that reeked of alcohol. He held a bottle in his hands as he watched. "Are you awake?" He said to her,

She stared at him, not knowing what to do or say. He suddenly threw the bottle he was holding on the floor and pulled his pants down.

Celine screamed and tried to get up to run away. He dragged her and hit her back on the tree. He moved closer to her, holding her roughly. His breath had a bad smell. She moved her face away and he laughed.

Pulling her hair, he said to her "I'll have my way with you, you little pretty thing." He began to drag her clothes. Celine kicked him in his groins and started running. If she had enough strength, she would have used her powers on him, but she was exhausted and needed to rest well before she could gain her strength back. She kept running, looking behind her to see if the man was still following her. She suddenly bumped into something hard that was standing in the middle of her way. She stumbled and was about to fall when a hand went around her to hold her from falling. She was still trying to steady herself and look at the person that just helped her from falling, when she heard the voice of the man that was chasing her.

"Hey, I found her first," the man said. I'll have my way with her, and when I'm done, you can have her. Celine was already scared, thinking the person that helped her will hand her over to the man. "I'll give you the chance to leave now" the voice came from the person that held her. It was a man. She quickly moved closer to the man and held his clothes tightly.

The man that Chased her moved forward and tried to drag her. Her saviour grabbed his hand tightly and made a low but intimidating growl. He was a werewolf. Realizing what he was, the man quickly moved backwards and ran for his life.

"My name is Aaron. You can walk with me." Her saviour said as he let go of her.

He began walking, she stood still for some moment not knowing what to do. Could she trust him? He was a werewolf that saved her from a man. Should she follow him or go her own way? "Are you coming?" His question jolted her out of her thoughts. She didn't even think before her legs started moving. She ran closer to him and started walking with him. There was something about him that seemed familiar, but she couldn't place her finger on it. She was engrossed in her thoughts so much that she didn't look at where she was going. She almost fell. He quickly caught her and steadied her. He looked at her, he looked irritated.

"You seem clumsy, I don't think you'll last long with me before I get tired of walking with you" he said to you.

She wasn't listening to what he was saying as she stared into his blue eyes that looked like an ocean. His eyes had a glint in them that made it look like they were dancing. His dark hair was a very deep contrast to his eyes. They were dark and full, and fell carelessly on his face. She suddenly had the urge to run her hands through them. She was already bringing her hands towards his face when he spoke. "What are you looking at? Did you hear what I said?"

Celine suddenly composed herself and cleared her throat. "I'm sorry, I didn't hear what you said" she said to him looking away. She felt embarrassed. He began walking, gesturing for her to follow him.

" I said we are going to where my little camp is. You can eat and rest there." He said to her as he walked ahead of her.

Celine walked more closely with him, thinking how someone could be this nice even as the world has been thrown into chaos. "Thank you for your kindness," she said to him.

They walked quietly till they got to his camp. Was this what he called a little camp? She thought in her mind. There were people everywhere with lots of tents and soldiers dressed in their armours.

A man ran towards where they were and began to speak with Aaron.

"Alpha, we have news," the man said to Aaron.

Aaron was an Alpha? Celine thought as they kept on walking. The man that came to meet them kept on talking, completely ignoring her. They got to a tent and Aaron suddenly stopped walking. "We have a visitor with us, Julius, keep the news till later while you attend to her." Aaron said to the man that came to meet them.

"Julius will give you neat clothes, food to eat, and a tent where you can rest. I'll meet you later to discuss how useful you can get." Aaron said as he bent down and entered into the tent.

The man Aaron called Julius led her to a tent farther away from the tent Aaron entered. Inside the tent was beautiful. There was a bathtub filled with water, a chair and a bed.

"I'll send someone to bring you neat clothes." Julius said to her as he walked out.

Celine looked around the tent, admiring the simple colours used to decorate it. She sat on the bed, and then laid on it. "How do I keep my powers hidden from these werewolves?" She thought. Her parents had told her how werewolves were ruthless and hated witches.

She wasn't sure if she was going to be safe with these people. Her mind drifted to Aaron, she remembered the colour of his eyes and his thick black hair. He had a sensational smell that gave her butterflies in her stomach. The smell was very familiar…

Celine suddenly sat up. The smell was the same from the one in her dream. It was the smell that called to her behind the door in her dream.

She was confused. She had a vision about him before she saw him. What was happening? She thought.

Someone entered into the tent, bringing Celine out of her thoughts. It was a little girl. "Beta Julius told me to give you these clothes." The girl said as she handed over the clothes she held in her hands to Celine. Before Celine could thank her, the little girl ran out. Celine smiled and walked towards the chair to gently drop the clothes on the chair. She stripped naked from her clothes.

She looked at her clothes and shook her head at how dirty they were. She discarded them on the floor and slowly entered into the bathtub. She relaxed for a bit before she began to scrub her body and washed her hair till every part of her body was completely neat. She was coming out of the water when someone suddenly entered the tent. It was Aaron.

Not knowing what to do, the both of them stared at each other, lost in their thoughts. Celine quickly came back to senses and reached for one of the clothes she had earlier dropped on the chair. She used it to cover herself as she fully comes out of the water. Aaron stood still, staring at her. She was expecting him to turn around so she could get dressed but he kept on looking at her.

"Won't you put on your clothes?" He asked her as he still looked at her. I am waiting for you to turn around, Celine said to him. He chuckled softly as he walked towards the bed to sit. "Why should I turn around when I've seen all that is there to see?" He said to her.

Celine was shocked and pissed off. She moved to a corner in the tent to put on the gown. Aaron now was more interested in the colour of the bed sheets as he didn't look at her any more. She got more angry.

She walked closer to the bed and sat next to him.

"I have a few questions to ask you." Aaron said to her.
