The Supreme Alpha

The beginning of the Visions

CHAPTER ONE.

The werewolves world started getting attacked by other supernatural beings seeing the tension in their world. Aaron begins to see visions and his told of the incoming destruction that will befall the world.

Aaron walked quietly towards the sacred room where the Alpha werewolves gathered for meetings. He walked into the room, and all eyes were on him. His commanding aura made most of the werewolves in the meeting bow their heads, while those who were strong and bold enough tried to resist bowing their heads.

"Nice of you to finally join us" Alpha Cedric said as he watched Aaron sit.

"I am sorry I couldn't make it much earlier. This was an impromptu meeting and I had other things to finish up." Aaron said as he carelessly picked up the goblet of wine on the table in front of him.

Someone cleared his throat at the other end of the table. It was Alpha Ash, the head of the werewolves council. "We should start discussing the reason why we are here." He said.

We've been clouded by our quest for power that we forgot to protect our borders. Three nights ago, The Argon pack, which is Alpha Cedric's pack, was attacked by vampires- elder vampires. The younglings that were left to protect the border could not hold them down. Five of them lost their lives while others were seriously or lightly wounded.

Alpha Ash paused to take a deep breath and to look around if everyone was paying attention. Last night, he continued. My pack , the Ashone pack, was almost invaded by witches. Our barrier was strong enough to hold a few of them down while the ones that went through were quickly slain by the Soldiers protecting the border.

"What Alpha Ash is trying to say is", Alpha Barrie, the Alpha of the Vines pack said before Alpha Ash continued speaking.

What he is saying is that other supernaturals have noticed the imbalance in the werewolves world, and they've seen it as an opportunity to invade our territories. We've been Kings of the supernaturals for decades and centuries now, and we cannot allow any other supernaturals take our crown away from us.

"King of the supernaturals, but we do not have a king." Someone muttered.

All eyes in the room turned to where the voice came from. It was Alpha Cedric.

"As I was saying,..." Alpha Barrie continued, but his ongoing speech was cut short by Alpha Cedric.

"As you were saying what?" Alpha Cedric barked in anger. The only way for balance to be restored to our territories is if we have a leader- a worthy leader. Then, our barriers will be strong and we'd be feared far and wide by all supernaturals. If we do not choose a supreme Alpha, gradually our territories will be penetrated and taken away from us.

A ruckus broke in the room as everyone started talking and throwing shades at each other. Everyone was talking except Aaron.

He quietly watched all of them talk like barbarians. These were Alphas of big werewolves pack and they could not have a civilized conversation for just thirty minutes without having to argue.

He checked the Rolex wristwatch on his wrist and saw that he didn't have much time to spend here. If not, he'd keep on watching them till they start to physically attack each other.

Aaron brought out his full commanding Alpha aura, suddenly making all of them quiet.

"I do not have much time to spend here, '' he began, and I'd really love to leave this place in the next five minutes. We all know that there's no way we can assign or choose a supreme Alpha without instructions and guidance from the Enlightened one. She has told us that once she sees a worthy person, she'll let us know.

"She said that years ago and she still hasn't seen a worthy person" Alpha Cedric cut in. Aaron gave him an 'I am still talking look" to shut him up.

"As I was saying, before I got rudely interrupted," he continued, we have to receive instructions from the Enlightened one before choosing a supreme leader. Yes, she has been quiet for years, but we need to be patient till she deems it fit for her to talk to us.

On the matter about the attacks on the Argon and Ashone pack, he continued. We'd have to double our security and train our betas to be stronger so as to hold down any attack from other supernaturals. Alpha Cedric and Alpha Ash, instruct your omegas to begin training for your betas. Station them at every place where your territories are easily vulnerable. Make sure the security is heavy at the exact points where the attacks happened. Witches and vampires do not have tactics for attack, they'll attack through the same place as last time, trust me. I'll send some of my men to also assist you in the training.

You all will excuse me as I have a very important place to be at. Do have a great day. He said.

He stood up from his chair and walked out giving no room for any talks or contradictions.

Aaron, widely known for his pride as he is the strongest and commanding Alpha. His pack was the strongest also as they drew their strength from him.

He never liked being called to meetings, occasions or any other ceremonies as they disrupt his thoughts and travels through the past and future.

He walked towards his car, as his Beta who was standing outside the building quickly opened the door for him. He got into the car and his Omega followed.

"To the pack house" he said to the driver.

Aaron's pack- The Lumiere pack, was surrounded by tall trees and mountains, making the place similar to a fortress.

The car drove through the Rocky roads that led to the pack house.

Aaron came down from the car with his Beta following him.

"So, how did the meeting go?" His beta- Julius asked. "Same old thing." He said. They're only interested in choosing a supreme Alpha. Especially Cedric, he's getting on my nerves too much. His pack got attacked, his and Ash's pack, and he thinks the lack of a supreme Alpha caused it.

"I think he wants to become the supreme Alpha," Julius said.

Aaron chuckled softly and slowly shook his head as he walked into the pack's central building.

They passed a couple of guards and maids as they walked towards a room.

Two guards standing in front of the door quickly opened the door as they saw Aaron and Julius. The pack's council of elders were already seated, waiting for Aaron's arrival. They all rose on their feet as he and Julius walked in. He sat on the chair placed at the end of the table and looked around. "Where's Luli?" He asked as he didn't see Luli who was the priestess of the Enlighten one's temple in his pack.

I believe every important person was informed about this meeting? He said, asking no one in particular.

"Maybe she has few consultancies to finish up" one of the elders said.

"Very well then" Aaron said, let us begin, I hope she comes to join us.

Aaron attended other meetings, walked around the pack area checking up on his people and then he retired to his room.

He had his bath and was putting on his robe when the atmosphere in the room changed. The hair on his back stood in attention. "What was happening?" he thought.

He moved, in earnest steps towards his bed, gently laid on it and closed his eyes.

Aaron opened his eyes, he was no longer in his room and he wasn't on his bed. He was in a very big room that had lots of dangling lights and a huge chandelier. The walls of the room had paintings on it that gave a mirage of a waterfall. It was absolutely beautiful.

He felt that Someone was watching him, but he didn't see anyone. He stood in the middle of the room waiting for whoever it was that brought him here to show up.

A voice, as calm as flowing water, gently spoke. "What you are about to see happened years before you were created. You will find answers to your questions." The voice said to him.

Suddenly, the room was filled up with people. Five men and five women seated around a table, dressed in long flowing white robes. They all had golden hair. They were speaking in hushed tones when a strong presence entered into the room causing them all to fall quiet. They fell on their knees and bowed down as the presence sat on a throne placed at the center of the table.

It was a woman, dressed in a long white dress that hung loosely on her body. Her hair was crystal, like the moon and she had the moon's crest on her forehead, glowing brightly.

The people in the room took their seats and waited for her to begin to talk.

Aaron watched with rapt attention, also waiting for the woman to speak.

She cleared her throat and began to speak. Aaron could swear it was the voice of water and fire, her voice was soothing and laced with the heat of fire. It made something in him calm and made it burn also.

"I can't choose a supreme Alpha," the woman said. That's why we all are present here. Years from now, there will be an imbalance in the world, not only the werewolves world, but every other supernatural world. As you all know, I am responsible for all of them and therefore, I must find a way to help them. The supreme Alpha will be chosen when the world needs him the most. The imbalance will be a way to unite all supernatural beings so as to become one, to fight a greater evil…

The woman's voice suddenly began to sound from a distance as Aaron felt his body slowly leave the room.

He opened his eyes and he was back on his bed in his room. He laid still on his bed, his mind filled with thoughts, trying to understand what the woman said.

A greater evil was coming their way, and they all needed to unite to fight it together. He sat up on his bed, his hands sinking into the softness of the bed as he tried to think of what the greater evil could be.

"Alpha Aaron" a voice said in his head. It was his beta. Werewolves' connections run so deep that they are able to mind-link.

"Luli wants to see you. She's almost at your door." Julius said.

Aaron stood up from his bed and tied his rope tightly around his waist and walked towards a couch to sit. He absentmindedly crossed his legs as he waited for Luli to come in. The thoughts of what he saw in the dream were on his mind.

Was it a dream, a trance or a vision? He asked himself.

A knock was heard on the door before it was pushed open. Luli, the priestess of the Enlightened one's temple, walked into the room. She was dressed in a white gown and had a silver veil over her head.

She walked slowly towards where Aaron sat and then joined him on the couch.

"I had many people in the temple seeking the blessings of the Enlightened one. That's why I couldn't attend the meeting. Forgive me." She said. Aaron wasn't paying attention to what she was saying as he thought of telling her about what he saw. He decided not to say anything but keep it to himself.

"Why are you here?" He asked her.

"I had a vision, '' she said. Balls of fire were falling from the sky and the Earth was sinking. There was chaos in our world and not only our world, but in every other supernatural world. Creatures with wings of fire attacked us, it was a bloodbath. I saw you, you were laying on the floor, half-dead. She said,
