The future meets the present

CHAPTER THREE.

Luli looked at Aaron, expecting him to react or say anything about what she just told him. "Did you not hear me say I saw you half-dead in my vision?" She asked him.

Aaron nodded his head in affirmation that he did hear her. Luli looked at him, still expecting him to say something.

"What do you think the vision means?" Aaron asked her.

Luli shook her head, "I don't know," she said. But, I think it has something to do with a greater evil they taught me while I was still a child in the grand Enlightened one's temple. They told me that one day, a greater evil will come to destroy the world and everything in it. What I don't understand now is your involvement in it. Why were you half-dead in my vision?

"Luli, can you do me a favor?" Aaron asked her. She looked at him to go ahead and say what he wanted.

"I want you to find about this greater evil that will destroy the world and what the supreme Alpha has in connection with it". Aaron said to her.

What does the supreme Alpha have to do with it? Luli asked Aaron.

"That's what I want you to find out, Luli." Aaron sighed as he said to her.

She nodded her head and stood up from the couch. She walked towards the door and then turned to look at Aaron.

"The Enlightened one has a lot to tell you." She said before opening the door to walk out.

Aaron stared at her retreating figure as she walked out of the room. He knew the Enlightened one had a lot to tell him, that was why he saw the vision. What he didn't understand was why she chose him to show this vision and why Luli had a vision of the world ending with him half-dead on the ground. So many thoughts were making their way into his head, he was trying to put the pieces together.

Aaron decided to put the matter aside and focus on more pressing issues. Luli would find out about the greater evil and report to him. Whatever she says will determine his next action.

His wolf, Orion, was trying to come out, so he stood up from the couch and left his room to the woods.

He slowly undressed and placed his clothes under a tree. In a few minutes, Orion came out and broke into a run.

Orion was the only crystal wolf in the werewolves world. No one knew why his fur was completely white with golden tips, and his eyes a very deep blue. The only similarity he had with Aaron was his eye color and calm character.

Aaron and Orion always love to stay alone, enjoying each other's company. Orion's exceptional qualities made Aaron the strongest werewolf in the werewolves world.

Orion had been running for over an hour now. Aaron decided that it was enough running for the night. Orion ran back to where Aaron kept his clothes.

Few seconds later, Aaron was already getting dressed. He was always quick to shift to his wolf form and human form. No one had seen what it actually looked like when Aaron shifted, because it always Happened in the speed of light.

Aaron got fully dressed and began to walk back to the pack house. His heightened senses made him hear a sound, like someone stepped on a stick laying on the floor.

No one was supposed to be in the woods by this time. The soldiers guarding the border were far away from here. He gently turned back and allowed his instincts to lead him where the sound came from. He didn't see anyone, he smelled the air but there was nothing. He searched around for some minutes before he decided to leave and walk back to his room. Tomorrow he'd tell some soldiers to check through the woods, whoever the invaded was could not go far before tomorrow.

He got back to his room and went into the bathroom to take a bath. He wore another rope and fell on the bed. He was thinking about who or what the intruder could be when he drifted off to sleep.

He opened his eyes and he was back in the room where he saw the Enlightened one and the elders. This time, the elders were not there, just the Enlightened one standing next to a window, looking outside.

"You're back," she said. Aaron looked around to know who she was talking to.

She laughed softly. "I am talking to you," she said.

"You can see me?" He asked her.

She walked towards him and smiled as she stood in his front.

"Yes, I can see you. I brought you here". She said.

She turned and began walking towards a door. "Follow me" she said to him without looking back.

The door led to an open space where there was a waterfall and a river that was very neat.

"You'll meet your Mate in the most unexpected way" she said to him as they kept walking.

She stood in front of a basket that had crystals in it. "I created you from one of these crystals and from the river." She said to him, smiling. That's why your wolf is different.

You're destined to be the Supreme Alpha, but I want you to know that you have to prove that you're worthy of the position. Very soon, chaos will break in the world, your ability to unite and bring peace to the world will determine if you will be the supreme Alpha or even the supreme leader of all supernaturals.

You have to go now, she said as she turned to look at him. "You don't need to worry, I'll provide guidance." Those were the last words he heard before he drifted back to the present.

He laid still on his bed as he stared at the ceiling. All what she said to him was in his head as he thought about them.

What am I going to do? Aaron asked himself. He couldn't go back to sleep, so he just stayed awake, thinking about what the Enlightened one told him.

The next morning, Aaron had his bath and as he wore his clothes, he looked at himself in the mirror, his eyes looked heavy. He was feeling sleepy now. He shook his head to clear the sleep from his eyes, because he knew he couldn't go back to sleep. He had a lot of things to do. He wasn't that productive the previous day, and as an Alpha, he had lots of things to do. He finished dressing and walked out of his room. The guards greeted him as he passed by them. He walked out of the building when Julius, his beta, ran towards him.

"How are you doing, Alpha?" He asked Aaron as they kept walking.

Last night we caught someone in the woods. He's not a werewolf, so we don't know what he is. Julius said.

Aaron stopped in his tracks, and he looked at Julius. He suddenly remembered last night in the woods. Someone was with him, but he couldn't find the person.

"Where is this person now?" He asked Julius.

We've kept him in the dungeon. We're waiting for your instructions. Julius said to him.

Aaron continued walking, with Julius trailing closely behind him.

"When I'm done training the soldiers, we'll go and question him." Aaron said.

Aaron and Julius walked into the training arena.

The arena was filled with soldiers doing one thing or the other. Some were sparring with each other, while some were checking out weapons as they discussed with each other. They all stopped what they were doing immediately they sensed Aaron's presence in the arena.

They gathered and formed lines as they began their training. They all trained till noon before they ended the training session.

Aaron and Julius walked out the arena together. "Are we going to the dungeon now?" Julius asked Aaron.

Aaron nodded his head in affirmation as they walked towards where the dungeon was.

They entered a building that had an ancient structure. They walked in, replying to the greetings of the guards they passed by. They passed through a corridor that led underground. The place was dark with little light coming in, and it was very quiet except for the little sounds made by the occupant of one of the cells.

Julius stood in front of a cell, it was the cell where the sound was coming from. Aaron slowly walked and stood next to Julius. They both stared at the person in the cell. He was murmuring words that they haven't heard before.

Aaron stared at the man, listening to the words he was saying, a voice told him the man was a wizard.

"I know what you are," Aaron said to the man.

The man suddenly stopped talking, and stared at Aaron. He looked shocked that Aaron knew what he was.

"I won't ask you how you got through the border, I'll figure out that myself. What I want to know is what you want" Aaron said to him.

The man stood and walked out of the corner he was sitting in. He walked closer to where both Aaron and Julius stood, he held the bars of the cell as he stared at them.

"My people sent a message," the man said. The Enlightened one told us to provide you guidance. Not all witches are in support, but the grand witch of my kingdom sent me to you. To give you a warning. Other witches will try to attack your land and other werewolves land. It's your duty to protect them because of who you are. The man said to Aaron.

Julius stood, looking between Aaron and the man. He was trying to understand what was going on.

"Very well then," Aaron said.

Are you to stay or go back after delivering your message? He asked the man.

I can stay here and Also report to my grand witch, the man Said.

"Julius here will bring you food to eat. I can't bring you out of here now. I don't trust you" Aaron said. You'll stay here and whenever I need your help, I'll come to meet you and you can send a message to me whenever you need to tell me something.

Aaron said and walked out of the dungeon with Julius following him.

Julius was waiting for Aaron to talk and explain what the wizard said.

"I've been having visions. Last night was the second time it happened" Aaron said to Julius.

Celine sat next to Aaron on the bed. She was too embarrassed to look at his face, so she kept her face down, looking at her fingers as she played with them. She waited for him to speak as he already said he had a few questions to ask her.

"You are not a werewolf, as you don't smell like one" Aaron began talking. So, I'm guessing you're a witch, since you don't smell like a vampire either.

Celine could feel her heart in her throat. He already guessed what she is by just smelling her. She thought of denying being a witch, but a second voice in her head cautioned her. Aaron was a werewolf Alpha, and if he finds out that she lied to him, he might kill her. She decided to tell him that she was a witch.

"I want to know what happened to your world and the people there, that's after you tell me what you are." He said.

Celine shifted uncomfortably on the bed, putting a little distance between herself and Aaron.

"I am a witch, I came here using a portal." She said to him.

My world was destroyed by balls of fire that fell from the sky. My parents lost their lives alongside most of the people in my world. I don't know if many people were able to escape, but I know I and a few others were able to leave. Celine said. She didn't know she was crying not until Aaron reached out to her, and touched her face. He cleaned the tears on her face and smiled at her.

"It's fine." He said to her, You can stay here with me. You'll be of great help to us.

"You should rest," he said to her as he walked out of the tent.
