Chapter 5: Don't hit me!

Amelia jerked up from her sleep when she heard a loud noise. She sighed in relief when she realized that it was an animal.

Her grandma before she died had done something that always stopped animals from coming close to the house so she was safe.

She didn’t feel sleepy anymore and so she got down from the bed and started packing her things.

Today was the last day in this stupid town that did nothing but cause her pain and suffering.

She looked at the time and saw that it was four o’clock. Great just an hour more until she left the town forever.

It took her less than ten minutes to pack everything she needed.

This was one of the perks of having very little stuff. She then headed out of her room and into the kitchen to get a glass of water.
