21. Getting A Raise

I woke up before sunrise for my usual morning jog & to my surprise Stella was getting up too. We both got changed & left the dorms to jog. The mornings were getting cooler & the leaves were beginning to change color, but I didn't mind. I always did enjoy the peace that the early morning brought. My dad & I used to jog every morning before morning training. After he died my training all but stopped. I couldn't help but to think about the events that had transpired as I jogged my normal 7 miles.

Clay refused to let me out of his sight for months, refusing to let me train with the warriors because "the training field is no place for a young girl." Really, I think he just didn't want me training because he thought I'd be easier to control if my fighting skills weren't up to par.
