Ace and I had imprinted her scent to memory along with the entire Alpha family. We wanted to make sure we covered all our bases while looking for her son, the son she left for dead.

Luna Katie smiles at us with sickening happiness. Luna's body is shaking violently at the disgusting woman. "What the Fuck," Alpha growls out. We can't believe the woman standing before us is the same as the grieving Mother we first met.

"Katie. Why? Why are the pups dead? What is going on," Layne questions with a look of complete shock.

Katie's laugh is high-pitched and annoying as it echoes around us.

"Shut your mouth, you sniveling coward. Did you think for one minute, I wanted to be with you? You are twice my age and weak. All I had to do was bat my eyelashes at you, and I was rewarded the Luna position," Katie says with a sinister sneer.

"As for the pups, they weren't strong. They didn't take to the procedure," she explained with a simple shrug.

Alpha growls
