The Call

DAVON'S POV:

"Mom, I need to check on Leona. I need to make sure she's okay," I insisted, heading to my room to get some clothes. I had to make sure the werewolf who chased her did not follow her home.

"Son, just stay here. Let Rupert check on her, please." Mom stopped me, she is worried sick, and I understand. She called Rupert on her phone.

Instructing him to buy flowers and give them to Leona so he could have an excuse to visit her. She's probably in her apartment now and alone. The fact that she was on our property means that she didn't attend her duty today.

Anyway, everyone knows she's one of the stockholders. Soon, we better announce so she could take the rightful position for her. I went to my room and decided to stay there to avoid Dad. He's been feeling better for the past few days, and my wound could trigger his tremors.

I went to my room to change and to be alone to clear my head.

"Son?" Mom knocked on my room while I was meditating about that alarming incident.
