“ What about the embarrassment “, do you even care about how I felt , she yelled out her eyes almost teary.

“ About what I told you the party is all about fun”, Rowen defended.

He took a deep breath before muffling the words beneath his breath. His palms rested on his temples.

“All I'm trying to do is to explain to you , and it's falling on deaf ears , his frustrated glance caught with her stressed expression .

The party had ended early already , the clock in the room ticking in a way that could send rage boiling through . It was annoying.

Nico starred at Rowen expecting an answer , she had been embarrassed right at the party apart from the whole story, Rowen had made a mockery of her.

“ Latisha is my sister , my blood sister “, Rowen finally said as Nico looked at him, her mouth wide agape.

She is my blood sister and she is back. He went silent after his statement like he was expecting her to say something.

Maybe a word ?

Or a statement ?

Nico kept quiet, staring at him in wide amusement .

“she left the pack seven years ago and she hasn't been back since then “. He concluded

“ So ….you are saying Latisha is your younger sister who unexpectedly showed up at my welcome party to make a mockery of me “?.

She paused her statement for a while “ she totally said everything about my marriage to you ,and you find that not demeaning? “

He nodded his head while walking towards the bathroom , his towel hanging around his neck.

Nelson stared at Nico who looked quite displeased, he sat on his chair while typing out some messages, his toothbrush right on the table as he continued to type .

“ What are you currently doing “?, she asked while staring at him in a way that seemed like he was obliged to answer her question ..

“ You really don't need to know “, his response was cold and formal , it gave her space to rethink .

It wasn't like they shared any bond , he was just her alpha , that was all , she owed alliance to the pack and not to him.

“ I booked a tour session of the dawnhill pack for you “ , he stated non-chalantly , his eyes glued to his laptop screen.

“ I deserve an apology not a tour “, her hands folded against her chest, the make up on her face hung closely to her chin, her lips drenched in lipgloss.

“ If there is anyone who owes you an apology it's latisha not me”, he stated holding his white towel firmly while standing .

“ So “? Nico questioned while being so uninterested in the conversation.

“ You are in this already Luna Nico “, he smirked his lips forming a twist.

It was true it wasn't like she had any solution aside from the delima she was in. Stuck in a loveless and sexless marriage , the few days she had spent in the dawnhill pack already taught her better.

“ It's about 40 minutes to your tour session “ ,he said, diverting his gaze towards his watch .

She spotted it , the ring engraving of the watch looked quite expensive .

“ You would be late for your tour , I advise you to leave now “, Rowen groaned.

“ I'm going to look for something to wear real quick , " she took quiet steps as her hands grazed against the wardrobe despite the overwhelming thoughts that buzzed in her mind

She picked a light yellow dress which had a little touch of purple , it was sleeveless and quite short , simple yet stylish in a pleasing manner .

These dresses were tight , inconvenient and lacked space. It wasn't like she was going to a pageantry or something ..

Rowen had disapproved of her dresses , so it wasn't like she could dress in a manner that she liked , especially when he went all out to get her more decent clothes .

She finally got out of the room, looking for Clara who she had called a few minutes ago .

Latisha walked towards her , her black aura making her that noticeable , she was dressed in black palazzo pants with a long top that moved freely , a scarf around her neck while her black heel clicked the marble tiles announcing her presence right before she got there …

“ Good morning Nico”, she stated while smiling , Clara found Nico who seemed quite disturbed by her attitude.

“ I'm sorry about last night “, Latisha admitted however she held her hands up in the air , twitching on chewing gum loudly while rolling her hands up in the air .

“ We would catch up later “, Nico added, bidding her head in a manner like she was willing to give it up .

They had finally gone round the kingdom in circles, from the lighthouse which was the main power source of the dawnhill pack , to the pack house , and then to the market area which was the most crowded

“ I'm tired “, she said, sweat dripping down her face as she wiped them slowly with her handkerchief .

It was just like rowen intentionally wanted her out , she still couldn't draw the line between convenience and comfortability …

“ Luna, are you good “ ? , Clara said in a view to distract the tour guide who was walking faster than they were

“ I think we should call a car , she seems really tired “, the tour guide turned his head, instantly walking towards the side of the road while muttering some words.

“ Is she that weak? “ , someone mumbled in the crowds while watching her sit on the rock. They were in the market square , it was crowded , filled with people who had different things to do .

“ Maybe ?, who knows !

I mean she can never be that strong and all “ , Nico looked annoyed , but she had realized that , it just wasn't every rumor that needed an answer.

Swapping her feet against the ground , Clara followed swiftly behind her .

An arrow came from nowhere flying through the wind faster than the speed of light ..

It hit her through her arm , “ aaah”, a shout escaped her lips, immediately she fell to the ground ….

“ Luna Nico “, the tour guide, ran from a distance , holding her firmly …

“ Call the alpha , we need a car to take her to the park hospital”, Clara nodded, dailing the number hastily …

Blood oozed out of the wound, the mark leaving a significant blow on her while the wound inflated with time .

Slowly her eyes closed, shutting down as utter darkness engulfed her

“ Luna Nico “ !!

12A cold heaomiscient point of viewThe air was thick, silence permeating the environment. The palace was quiet, its walls a beautiful combination of gold and grey."And you brought her home?" Alpha Rowen's voice broke through the silence. The maids walked quietly, treading carefully around him."Why are you quiet?" he barked at the tour guard who bowed his head , his voice filled with coldness and fury in his eyes."Alpha," the tour guide struggled to say, his mouth agape between silence and his words."Are you choking on your tongue or what?" Rowen stared at the tour guide, who was unable to express himself.“ Alpha …. I .. didn't mean to”, he choked on his words , sweat cringing through his thick hairy brows which were shapeless.Alpha rowen paced through the large living room, walking through the spaces between the white and gold sofas, his left arm around his lower waist."It's not like you are concerned about her welfare. You should be really concerned because if she dies, you

Third point of viewAlpha rowen !The man who princess Nico married is nothing but a confused alpha.Or …maybe that was her thought initially .“ You are up “? Rowen's gaze felt like a creaking ant against her skin ..The moment she woke up , she stretched her hands wide in the air, yawning while her mouth went agape , her eyes closed as the wind brushed through her hair slowly. The white shirt that hung on his frame looked really nice on him as he started to button up slowly. The sun on his skin , he looked like a Demi God , at least temporarily. Her first night in Alpha Rowen's room was quite awkward. He had slept on the sofa while she slept on the bed.“ By tomorrow you would get your room “ , he stated while silence hung through the room.“Stop staring at me,” she heard him juggle the words in between his expressions. A scoff escaped her lips ,her mind wavered.“I wasn't,” ! She nodded her head in denial , standing up from the bed, she walked towards the door.“ And where do you

  • The Unchosen Luna     Chapter Nine: The problematic plan

Nico’s Point of View Thanks to the tinted windows of the car, I was able to change out of the dress I had worn before the driver pulled to a stop. “My lady, what are you doing?” Clara whispered, her voice panicked. Outside, the sounds of the crowd filtered in—howls of celebration, cheers, murmurs, and laughter. But I didn’t want their noise. I didn’t want their expectations pressing down on me like chains. I wanted silence. Because expectations break you. The more you keep them, the more disappointment eats you alive. “My lady, what are you doing?” Clara asked again, struggling to keep her voice steady as she watched me fold the white gown from my father’s pack. When I finished dressing, I caught her wide-eyed stare. I had traded the gown for a black stone-studded bum short, a black crop top, and a fluffy jacket. A cap sat low on my head, sunglasses hiding my eyes. I even pulled out the black umbrella I’d tucked beneath the seat. Clara was stunned, but wisely swallowed whatev

  • The Unchosen Luna    Chapter Eight: I Kissed Him

Nico’s POVTime froze. My feet felt glued to the marble floor, unable to move, unable to breathe. My heart clenched painfully inside my chest as if it were being squeezed by an unseen hand.It was him.“Nelson…” I whispered his name in a tone so weak it barely left my lips. Tears burned at the corners of my eyes, threatening to spill.“Hello, Nico.” His voice was calm, steady, but his eyes betrayed something deeper. He lifted his left hand and gave me a casual wave, as though we were strangers meeting after years, not enemies tangled in wounds too deep to heal. For a moment, I thought he wasn’t real—that I had conjured him from my own desperate longing. But then Clara quietly excused herself, slipping away, and reality anchored me. Nelson was here. Flesh and blood. My father’s gaze found me across the hall. A look that said it all: you are married now. He turned and left, his presence like ice sliding down my spine, leaving chills in his wake. And just like that, it was only Nelson an

  • The Unchosen Luna    Chapter Seven: My Nemesis

Nico’s POVInstead of a mating ceremony, what did my father do? He organized a proper wedding. Not a celebration of bonds. Not the sacred ritual of two wolves pledging their souls before the Moon Goddess. No—just a human-like, white-dress-and-veil wedding.Maybe because I was never truly meant to be someone’s mate. Maybe because I wasn’t enough to be chosen.I was the unchosen one—the girl raised to be a pawn, the daughter trained to be sacrificed, the wolf who craved love but was denied it. I was the solution to the kingdom’s problems and yet the sacrifice handed to secure its safety. The thought made my chest pound as if my heart wanted to rip out of me. And no one—no priest, no warrior, no guest in that hall—spoke about the guilt that came with rejecting a good man. No one mentioned how it rotted you from the inside, how it clawed at your conscience even when you had no choice. The music swelled, and I began the walk down the aisle. The red carpet beneath my feet felt like fire, sc
