로그인ERYX POV
“We are gathered before you oh moon goddess, to reveal to us, our new Luna who will stand worthy beside Alpha Eryx.” the pack seer began. “Reveal her to us, our great goddess.” Immediately, the seer muttered those words, I began to feel the pull from within. It was strong and filled me with different, unfamiliar sensation.. My wolf stirred within me. I needed no soothsayer to tell me what was happening— it was the mate bond forming between us. I had felt it and it was just a matter of fact before my mate did also. As if hearing my thoughts, a loud cry into the cold starry sky, was heard from among the pack. There it was— my mate. I turned towards the direction the sound came from and immediately my eyes locked with the one who was meant to be my mate, my gaze stiffened when our gaze met. “Mine.” my wolf growled, wanting to break out, but I had to keep it under control, using my will and strength. I moved across the crowd, heading towards her with slow strides. Immediately I smelt her, I knew just what she was. Just some Omega. I scoffed Inwardly… the moon goddess had to be kidding me. I'm Alpha and I don't need someone who can't help herself to stand beside me. She has nothing to offer. “I Eryx Ravelle, rejects you…” I stared at her asking for her name. “Celestia… Celestia Wynter.” she muttered My heart raced faster for some unknown reason as soon as she said her name. I let out a frown— it was just a name. A name I don't recognize so what was happening to me. My head throbbed for a split second. “I, Eryx Ravelle, reject you Celestia Wynter as my mate.” I pronounced. Weakly she muttered. “I, Celestia Wynter, accept your rejection.” I turned as soon as I heard those words. That was all I needed to hear from the mouth of the weak omega the moon goddess had tied to me. I’d rather be alone than accept an omega as my mate. I refuse to accept the Moon Goddess's choice. As I took several step further. I heard a voice in my head, didn't know it came from. “You are leaving just like last time.” Before I could react, my head began to ache badly, the pain growing worse with every step. It was the bond acting up. Of course rejection came with pain. But as an Alpha, I could withstand any pain. From childhood, I barely knew what pain was— I had endured injuries, training, and battles without allowing pain to break me. But this was different. It felt as though something inside my chest had been torn apart. My muscle went stiff, the world spun beneath my feet. My heart felt like it had been ripped open. “Arrrgh!!!” I screamed, unable to withstand the pain. I fell to the ground, giving in to the darkness that already consumed me. ***** I woke to the pounding in my chest—sharp, relentless, impossible to ignore. The pain was immense and unbearable but I tried to withstand it. One thing was sure, the pain wasn't mine. It's hers. The mate I had rejected… Celestia The name burned in my mind like fire. My head throbbed, my hands flew to my chest, and I staggered upright. Everything around me swayed, but I didn't care because I wasn't a weak Alpha. But something was wrong– more than wrong. The bond… it was alive. Screaming, demanding and pulling right at me. Why was that? I had rejected her, so why did I still feel the bond. Moreover, why did I collapse just as she collapsed yesterday. The question flooded my head but I had no answers to them. My eyes went to the window, it was day, meaning I had passed out all through the night. I took my gaze forward to see the elders were there, standing quietly behind a linen curtain that seperated us, I could still see it that their eyes were heavy, filled with worry Of course…they ought to. No one has ever seen me in this state before. Even when I wasn't fine, I did my best to stand strong. “Arrgh.” I groaned a little, as I forced myself to sit upright, despite the pain that came with it. That seemed to alert the elders that I was awake. “Alpha, you are awake.” “Are you okay?” “I will go bring the pack doctor to check on you?” Before I could respond telling them to keep quiet and not bother, Lyra rushed towards me, passing the curtain no one dared to cross. That was an advantage she got for being my closest friend, there was hardly any boundary between us. “Eryx!!” she cried rushing to my side. “Are you alright?” she asked checking me out all over. “I'm fine Lyra.” I replied pushing her aside slightly. There was no boundaries, yet I needed my privacy and I hated when I was touched too much. “I thought something terrible had happened to you.” tears rolled down her eyes. “It all that omega’s fault. You should get her punished, for trying to hurt you.” “Banish her to the forbidden forest.” she suggested. Pain surged through me again. “Lyra, I… “I'm afraid you can't send her out of the pack neither can she be punished.” Beta Raen said from where he stood. “What do you mean, Father?” Lyra asked, the same question I had in mind. “These were the orders from the seer since she is the only one who can communicate with the Moon goddess regarding this matter— she can't be sent out for she is the Alpha's mate.” “She isn't Eryx mate. He rejected her already.” “Yes, he did. But.. “The bond is still alive. It didn't shatter.” I whispered, clenching my fist. Beta Rean nodded. “The seer had told us when you were unconscious.” Lyra’s eyes widened. “That's impossible.” “Exactly.” Beta Rean said. “But an omega will never be my Luna. I will reject her again and break the bond completely.” “We respect your decision Alpha. But the seer said nothing should be done to the girl until we fully understand what is happening. The clenched fist tightened more till my knuckles turned white. “For how long?” I raised my voice. “How long am I going to be tied to a defective omega.” “The seer is investigating the matter, Alpha. We will inform you as soon as we have an explanation.” Then find me the answers. Quickly.” My voice rose, filling the room with the force of my Alpha command. “Or you will all answer to me.” “Get out.” I turned away from them. “All of you.”ERYX'S POV I made my way to the pack hospital, heading straight for the room where my so-called mate was being treated and kept under observation. The guards stationed at the door greeted me, but I didn't bother to acknowledge them. It's been two days since the mating ceremony, two days since the rejection and two f**king days since the bond has kept screaming at me that it was alive and doing well. I scoffed inwardly, my expression cold as I watched her lie on the bed. The steady beeping of the heart monitor filled the room with an IV line running from the back of her hand to a fluid bag hanging beside her bed. “Pathetic.” I mumbled. “She couldn't endure the pain of a rejection bond and the moon goddess dared to bond her to me.” “You just have to wake up and let get it over with.” The door to the room slid open, which made me turn back to see who had the audacity to enter while I was here. The girl gasped and immediately dropped to her knees as soon as our eyes met. “Greeti

CELESTIA’S POV The moon hung on the dark starry night sky, full and shining brightly over the land of silver fangs pack, casting long shadows of the surrounding trees. The whole pack was assembled outside for the Luna Ceremony which was done on the night of the full moon after a new Alpha has been crowned. Now that Eryx was crowned months ago and the moon is bright and full, the ceremony has to be held. It was a tradition, past down for years so that the moon goddess will reveal the mate of the New Alpha. Everyone stood according to their ranks, Elders, Betas, Warriors, Gammas and omegas like me— where casted at the far end of the open field. I pressed my palm against my chest, trying to calm the frantic beat of my heart. “Why did you look so nervous?” Elowen whispered beside me. I turned to look at her. “Me? Nervous? Do I look nervous?” I asked, rubbing my neck with my cold, sweaty palm. “Of course girl. You don't have to be nervous— you have no reason to. The future
CELESTIA’S POV Thirteen years ago “Arghhhhh!!!” I screamed for help as my leg missed its footing and the branch beneath my other foot gave away just as I was about plucking an apple. My eyes went shut, as I expected to hand on the ground with a loud hit with a cracked and maybe a broken back or leg— but it never came. “Am I still falling?” I thought, opening my eyes gently to see a boy about three years older than me staring down at me. His face was quite close. That was when I realized he had caught me from falling. “Aren't you going to get down?” he asked gently, though his voice sounded like he was in a hurry. “Oh right. I'm sorry.” I apologized as I got down from his hands. “Thank you very much for saving me, I thought I would die.” I smiled. He simply rolled his eyes, “Why were you up there by the way?” I pouted, glancing at the apple tree. “I only wanted some apples.” “Ohhh.” he simply said. I turned to him again and that was when I noticed the cloth he was wearing—
Celestia's POV At exactly five in the morning, the speakers connected to the maids' quarters crackled to life, and the voice of our head maid immediately filled the entire room. “Arise and shine, everyone! It's time to get to WORK!!” she screamed into the microphone. Thankfully, I had blocked my ears just in time. That was how she was every morning, especially when she didn't want to come down to the quarters herself because she knew some of us would simply go back to sleep the moment she left. It was no longer anything new to me or anyone else. Those who were still sleeping groaned as they reluctantly pulled themselves out of bed, while a few others buried their faces beneath their pillows, probably hoping the head maid would somehow decide to spare them today. Which of course would never happen. “Does she really have to do that every morning?” someone muttered from the other side of the room. “I'm afraid my eardrums are going to burst if she continues,” another complained. “
