Chapter 15 - Phone Call

"Zakael," My eyes widened at his sudden approach.

"What are you doing?" I asked, moving my face gently away from his touch. My hands were trapped behind me, holding the edge of the sink in case my knees gave up. I didn't like it, how troubled I am right now.

"I'm not doing anything, Azalia." The sound of my name rolling out of his tongue was heavenly. It was my first time hearing him say my name, and it made my legs jelly. It must've been the alcohol.

Zakael wasn't smiling playfully, as he normally does when his finger moved to the side of my face. Dark eyes looked at the little strands and slowly tucked them away from my face.

"There," He paused, watching me intently.

"Beautiful," Without meeting my gaze, Zakael gently pulled my chin up with his fingers, staring at my parted lips of the darkest red. It was as though something was whispering things to him; lean closer. Hence, his lips grew closer, painting a soft brush against my lips. It was slow and agonizing. They barely touche
