Zara's POV

Sex wasn’t the same anymore. Nothing has been the same since –

My thoughts were interrupted when my phone dinged.

I rushed to check it, hoping it was a message from him, maybe to wish me a happy birthday, but it was from an anonymous number. Confusion had taken over my expression as I clicked the videotape he or she had sent to me.

At first glance, I did not know how to react. It looked like my husband was dancing and romancing another woman in a setting that seemed to be a club. But Zane would never do such a thing. He would never hurt me that way.

Taking a better look, my heart sank in an instant as I realized it was my husband for real!

A blonde-haired lady was rubbing her body on his while his hand caressed her body, then she turned around and KISSED HIM!

My phone fell from my hand, everything went silent. All I could hear was the slow beating of my heart.

My chest tightened. I struggled to breathe as I stared at the video, the terrible act went on without an end, their tongues kept sliding into each other’s mouths.

He was busy making out with another woman while I was stuck at home, still healing from the transplant three weeks ago..

I gave up everything for him, my life, my legacy, my body, everything. But apparently, I was wrong to have trusted him.

This wasn’t the man I married, or at least I had hoped he wasn’t, but I had been seeing the signs..

Every single night, I waited to embrace him, but he returned home drunk. I tried to question him as to why he was so late, but he ignored me. He would just grumpily respond, telling me that he was too busy with work to even attend to his phone unless it was a call from a contractor.

I thought the accident was still taking a toll on him. I made excuses for him, thinking he loved me too. I hoped he would stop being so nonchalant and return to the charming prince he was.

A sudden sob tore through me, letting out all the pain I had ignored and kept buried for weeks.

I did not know how long I had been there, but I sat there, crying like a little child who had misplaced herself from her parents.

Just then, the door opened, and Zane walked in.

“I’m sure you fucked your so hard that you forgot today was my birthday,” I said, anger hinting at my tone.

“Why do you sound like that?” He asked, noticing the change in my demeanor tonight.

“Why?” I asked him, the pain inside of me causing my entire body to throb. ‘ How could you do this to me? I thought you were still tired from the accident, but why did you have to hurt me like this?” My voice broke as fresh tears poured down my face.

He squinted his eyes, looking confused, and was about to speak, but I had no time for puny games, so I showed him the video on my phone.

The moment realization hit him, his brown eyes grew empty of all emotions, and his shoulders slouched slightly.

So I was right, that woman was the work he had to do every single night, leaving me alone at home like his dog and not his wife.

Just the thought of it caused my heart to grow heavy, and more tears flushed down my face.

“How did you get that video?” He asked me, his thick brow arching.

“Does it even matter how I got it? Is that what is important to you here?!” I raised my voice at him. “Is it the fact that I got the video you should focus on or the fact that the video even exists?!”

How could you do this to me, Zane?!” I asked in a heartbroken and devastated tone as tears rolled down my cheeks once again, in torrents.

“I stood by your side when everyone else left you! Hell, I donated my skin to you!” I said in a frantic tone as I tried desperately to understand the reasons behind his actions.

“Stop being pathetic, Zara. You have lost the one thing that made you useful: your beauty, and in turn, your modelling career. The only woman who can secure my inheritance is Elora. You were only good while you lasted.” Zane said with a sneer on his lips.

“It's over between us,” Zane said with a tone of finality.

He turned to go upstairs but stopped abruptly. “I had hoped to allow you recover from the transplant and take your time to do whatever the fuck you want to around here but since it has come to this”. He bent over to take out a folder from his bag. “Here are our divorce papers. Sign it and get the fuck out of my house”.

The silence echoed with thunderous rage while Zane stood there and watched me, calm and cold with emotionless eyes.

My hands were shaking terribly, trying to get a grasp of the stack of papers he thrust into my hands. My eyes tearily scanned through the pages to be sure this wasn’t a prank. It was my birthday after all. He could be pulling a stunt.

“I don’t care if you sign it now or not”. Zane said

He dragged me by the shoulder, along with my shoes that were scattered on the floor where I was sobbing. I was too weak to resist his grasp. Too weak from trying to process everything that just happened today, on my birthday.

“Now get out of my life and don’t come back here again,” Zane said as he slammed the door in my face.

While I was still trying to process all that had happened, I heard a woman call out his name. I turned and saw a heavily pregnant woman as she walked towards the door.

Why did she look like the woman in the video?

Oh my God!

  • The Untouchable Heiress He Regrets Losing   The Unveiling

Zara’s POV“Please come with me, ma’am,” a hotel staffer said, his voice calm but professional as he gestured towards a private. The soft carpet rubbed my heels as I followed him down the hallway. The crystal chandeliers above us glittered like constellations, reminding me of just how high the stakes were tonight. As I approached the room, my breath hitched slightly, not from nerves but sheer disbelief. Standing there, where I didn’t expect him to be, was Zane. For a moment, I froze. The man I once gave my heart to–the man who shattered it like it didn’t matter- was here. Not that I still felt something for him. I did not. The sight of him didn’t hurt. It didn’t weaken my knees or twist my stomach like it used to. Instead, it steadied me and grounded my resolve. He was nothing more than a symbol of hate, betrayal, and greed- a ghost of the woman I used to be.I had healed, or so I’d like to tell myself.Just then, Mia rushed in, slightly breathless from walking quickly in heels, “Mis

Three Years LaterZara's POV“Is the car ready?” I turned to look at my sweaty assistant, who had been running up and down to make sure I made it early to the event later today. I had put so much pressure on Mia because tonight must go as planned. I must show the city and people who took me with levity that the queen is back. I hurried towards the car, only to be stopped by a tall figure in front of me. I looked up and, almost blinded by the sun, I had to shield my eyes with my hands. “Who are you, and why are you in my way?” I asked the figure in front of me. “I have been waiting for you," He said, his voice calm but resolute. I know what you’re planning, but I can propose a better way.” He said, looking right into my eyes. He looked like he knew what he was saying, so I let him continue. “I am Leo Armstrong. Your secret investor”. He stretched out his hand to give me a handshake. My heart stumbled. I stared at the scar on his palm—a distinct jagged line that had been etched i

I stirred my eyes slowly, fluttering open to fluorescent lights that stung.“Hello, ma’am, can you hear me?” A voice echoed in my head, muffled, like it was trying to reach me through water. A nurse’s blurred figure came into view- dressed in pale blue scrubs, hair pulled back, clipboard in hand, eyes kind but cautious.“Yes… I can”, I groaned in pain, my throat dry, each word escaping slowly. The nurse smiled faintly, but it didn’t last long. She flipped through the chart in her hand, lips pressed into a nervous line.“You were rushed here, ma’am, by a man. Thank God he came on time. It could have led to a more serious case, ma’am.” She scanned through a file she held in her hands.“Why didn’t you treat yourself after the miscarriage, ma’am? Can I meet your husband? Where is he?”. The nurse asked, searching my face for answers I didn’t have.“Wait—Mis what–?” I rose gently from the bed as I tried to understand what the

  • The Untouchable Heiress He Regrets Losing   Final Blow of Betrayal

I woke up in what looked like a hotel room, head spinning like I had just gotten off a rollercoaster. A dull ache pounded behind my eyes. The sterile scent of antiseptic mixed with something warm-coffee maybe-hung in the air. I instinctively reached out for the area where the syringe had been inserted. My skin was sore, tender. It still hurt. The ordeal of yesterday was definitely one I will not forget soon. I still hoped it was all a dream and I would wake up by the side of my husband, wrapped and comfortable in his arms.I blinked slowly, taking in my surroundings. Cream walls, dark velvet curtains drawn halfway, and a white bed across mine with sheets smoother than anything I’d seen in weeks. “But wait, did the mystery man abduct me for himself?” I shouldn’t have trusted the man who promised me forever, not to mention a stranger I met yesterday.I turned to my side, trying to sit up. “You’ve been out for two days”, a male voice interrupted, cutting short my inquiries. There he

  • The Untouchable Heiress He Regrets Losing   "Suck Her Dry"

It had barely been three hours since I moved from the freezing floor where my strength gave out. My limbs and my once vibrant spirit now hung by a thread. I managed to find a hidden spot in the neighbourhood where I would usually come to feed the stray cats. Sadly, tonight, I was the stray. With my arms wrapped tightly around my body, I cuddled myself, praying no one would notice me and make me the talk of the town. I hadn’t eaten in two days. My head ached from exhaustion, my throat was dry from dehydration, and my skin was pale from cold and fatigue. Amidst my thoughts, I slipped into a restless, dreamless sleep. But the moment of escape was short-lived.The sound of footsteps jolted me awake, snapping through the silence like a whip. Before I could make out the faces that hurried towards me, I was hit across the face, the blinding pain shooting through me. Stars burst across my vision, and I could feel my body lifted from where I lay, rough hands gripping my wrists like shackles.

“Meet my fiancée, Elora Shane.” Zane’s voice interrupted my thoughts. His voice was cold and emotionless, as though he were introducing a business partner. His arm draped possessively around her waist, then his other arm to deliberately rest in the middle of her stomach.I blinked too fast to even get a good grasp of her face.“Fiancée?”The word sliced through my tongue as it escaped. My voice cracked, unsure if it was despair or heartbreak carrying it forward. My eyes dropped to her belly, the round and the undeniable curve beneath her silky gown. My finger trembled as it pointed towards it. “She’s… sh… she… she is pregnant. The woman looked at me, her gaze sharp, lips curled into a parasite’s smile.“Oh–you mean–he didn’t tell you,” she said with a smirk on her face. Her voice was drenched in satisfaction and sugar-coated cruelty. My lips were numb. I couldn’t utter a word. I couldn’t scream. I couldn’t even swallow my saliva. The man I had abandoned my family for, walked away from
