Chapter 20: Hell Breaks Loose

“Oh god Bethany!” I gasp, looking down at her bleeding and pale body.

She peers up at me, nothing but desperation in her sad brown eyes. “Please, Maria… help me…” she groans, looking down at the pool of blood between her legs.

Nodding hurriedly, I bend over and help her up off of the ground and begin guiding her into the house and towards the living room.

As we slowly move towards the living room, I begin to feel cramping on my lower stomach.

"It's just Braxton Hicks.. It's just Braxton Hicks." I whisper to myself, trying not to worry Bethany anymore.

Bethany groans in pain the whole entire way there, clinging to her lower stomach and tears flowing down her cheeks. And oh god.. there’s so much blood by the time we reached the living room.

I put her down on the big leather couch and and sit down on the coffee table in front of her, sighing deeply.
