Chapter 11: The Ancient Sword

That my Master could only put me on his right shoulder by using his right hand was a source of amusement for me. It appeared as though being on top of his shoulder would make me happy, so I took my time hanging the picture back up on the wall after having moved it.

"Don't buy time just because it pleases you, woman," he irritably advised her. It's as though Brixton could read my mind.

I smiled and patted his other shoulder before laughing, which was a signal to him that it was time to set me down. After having to put up with his unpleasant conversations for a while, I decided to clap my hands to get rid of the dirt, and that's when a wide smile sprang on my face.

Brixton came up behind me while I was concentrating on repairing my dress. I had no idea what he was doing until I turned around and saw him staring at a sword that was in the middle of the enormous storage area. Before that, I had no idea what he was doing.
