Dante's POV

Ashley had even more control over Christopher than I thought. She didn't have his heart but she had his empathy. Christopher was a good person. She had wiggled her way into his good graces.

He couldn't even see it but Ashley was abusive. Even when she'd hurt him. He was still trying to make sure I didn't hurt her.

This. If he left Ashley because he wanted to be with me, he would never leave her completely. I needed to ruin their relationship.

If he broke things with her, he'd forever hold guilt and she would make sure to use it as a leverage against him.

She had to leave him.

She had tried to be with me and after that failed ran back to Christopher. Now all I had to do was show her that she had lost him.
