Chapter 13

Vampire Prince POV

I enter my study after another uneventful meeting. As I go over to my chair behind my desk I drag my hand over my face.

Our sources are telling us the werewolves are planning an attack. They believe we are to blame for the deaths. They do not know the deaths have directly affected us as well. All those werewolves killed were mates of vampires.

Vampires mates are what help us stay human. When they die we lose our humanity and become uncontrollable killing machines. We have had to put down many vampires since these kills started. Being forced to kill our own is not a time when I want to take the crown.

I glance towards the door when I hear a knock.

“Come in” I call out.

My sister enters the room. I roll my eyes as I see her saunter in. All of her clothing is too small to leave anything to the imagination. She tosses her blonde curls over her shoulder. She looks down at me with her piercing blue eyes.

“What do you want Beth?” I ask already exasperated with her.
