The Yeg smell

Selina slightly pursed her lips and asked coldly:

- What is your enemy's name?

Oralie raised her eyes to look at her, her eyes rolling with underground waves of anger and hatred. Those blue eyes seemed to darken, somber to see. The haze covers everything, swallowing away innocence and youth. Oralie answered, seemingly grinding her teeth together, the terse sentence being growled by her little by little, as if she had once resented repeating it a hundred times or a thousand times, or more:

- His name is... Titus William.

Selina looked at the face, which was still young, but seemed to have been bitten off the other half of the soul by the darkness, and the ash gray eyes flashed a bit of nostalgia. It seems that she is looking through this face and looking at a distant memory, a past covered with dust and ashes, which has long collapsed to nothing. Selina suddenly sighed softly, but only a soft sigh, perhaps only she could hear. Then, her face returned to normal; a cold face without any warmth. She coldly said:

- So now, let's go find him. I don't care about your ambiguous human grudges, I only know our contract. Lead the way now, I want to tear up this trash contract immediately.

Oralie lowered her eyes and nodded gently. Next, she propped herself up on her hands, crawling slowly up from the ground. She came to the entrance of the cave, but did not step out immediately, but turned her head to look at the person standing behind her. Oralie raised her voice and asked:

- Sir, It's almost noon. Are you afraid of the sun?

Selina looked coldly at the person waiting for her, she sneered at the corner of her red lips, showing a smile full of arrogance and confidence, and said:

- Only low level vampires are afraid of the sun. Don't confuse me with those weaklings.

Hearing this, Oralie looked up at her with arched eyelids, a hint of laughter in her knowing blue eyes. Selina saw it, but she didn't understand it.

What is she laughing at? What is there to laugh about? The bloodsucker's heart was a little annoyed, but then she didn't want to ask why.

Why does she care about the feelings of a human!

Selina looked at Oralie with annoyance, her voice a bit grumpy:

- Didn't you listen to what I said before? Hurry up!

Oralie turned her face away and led the way without saying a word.

As soon as they stepped one foot outside, the atmosphere seemed to completely change. Different from the damp, moldy smell of the old cave, the outside has a light smell of grass, mixed with the strong smell of the sun, creating a very pleasant feeling. The sunbeams fell on the golden hair of the other girl, making that hair seem to be shining, sparkling beautifully. Just like the strands of sunlight are woven into strips, gently strung across the pearl shoulder of the person.

Selina followed and walked to the door of the cave. Blinding sunlight hit her eyelids, making the old bloodsucking demon unable to help but frown.

Even though she wasn't afraid of sunlight and this stupid light couldn't hurt a bloodsucker belonging to a noble class like her, this light still disgusted her immensely.

It was as if there was a fishy smell clinging to her body, so disgusting that it was unbearable. Selina closed her eyes, then opened them again for a moment, trying to forget the disgusting feeling this light brought.

She glanced around. All around her, the grass was grass, and the field was lonely. In the distance, colorful flowers spread their wings, showing themselves in the sunlight. These flowers are wildflowers, no one to take care of them, but they can still rise and bloom, despite the stormy rain, the harsh sun, and rain. Selina looked around a few times, still seeing no village or house, just like half a millennium ago, so desolate.

She expected humans to have stretched their fangs here after all this time, but no. This field was still deserted. Seeing this place still deserted as before made Selina feel very comfortable. But then, she couldn't help but ask Oralie. Selina’s ash gray eyes could not hide the curiosity:

- This place is so desolate, all around is grass and grass. What did you come here for?

Oralie heard her ask, and immediately reached for the bag at her waist. But she did not rush to put her hand in it, but carefully put on a pair of leather gloves, and then carefully took out a red Biennial flower from her pocket.

The petals are soft and loose. Maybe because it's been in the other bag for a while, the petals have begun to droop, and the red color is also somewhat gloomy, no longer the bright red color as before. Now, the petals are deep red, but that slight color change does not reduce the beauty of the Biennial flower branch. The white pistil gently flutters, and each ray of sunlight drips onto the petals, making it as bright as it is. This flower is still so infatuated with people.

Oralie put the flower in front of Selina, who had moved her eyes from the flower and was looking directly at the human in front of her. Oralie's blue eyes under the sunshine like the most beautiful crystal, bright like the summer sun, bluer than the piece of sky hanging overhead.

Oralie answered softly, in her voice tinged with joy, there seemed to be a hint of pride:

- I came to pick this flower.

Selina lowered her eyes to look at the red flower in the other's hand, the puzzled look in her ash gray eyes was even more strangely dark. She reached out her hand as if she wanted to take the flower. Oralie immediately withdrew her hand, not letting her touch the other petal. Selina's white hand was still hovering in the air, before she could retract it, she heard Oralie hastily say:

- Sir, this flower is poisonous. You can't touch it with your bare hands!

Selina coldly withdrew her hand. She smirked slightly, seemingly a little funny:

- That poison only harms humans like you. Don't forget, I'm not a human. Of course, I know this Biennial flower is poisonous. And I have never seen it useful before. Why have you traveled so far to pick it up? Do you want to poison someone?

Oralie quickly shook her head, her eyes sparkling as she looked at the flower branch, and said firmly:

- This flower is very useful. Although the flower resin is poisonous, the petals are also poisonous, and all of its parts are poisonous, but if handled properly, it can become raw material for medicine!

Selina shrugged, not wanting to say anything more. Years passed, and she was now an old-fashioned vampire. Seeing that the other person was still looking at the flower branch happily, with a very stupid expression, Selina grumbled:

- Hurry up, put that flower branch in the bag and go on. Human, you're still young, don't slow!

Oralie heard her words, and obediently put the flower in her pocket, she also took off her leather glove and put it in another bag. Then, she led the way to a nearby town. The two of you have to go a long way, until dusk to get there. Selina could not help complaining:

- After all, where is your enemy? How long does it take to arrive?

Oralie lowered her head slightly, her voice slightly hesitant:

- He's as far as Ammuriannum, I'm afraid it'll take a few weeks to get there.

Hearing that, Selina's lifeless face flickered with displeasure, but then, that uncomfortable feeling quickly subsided. Because she suddenly realized that, even though she was tired, a few weeks was but a wink.

As the two continued walking towards the town, Selina became aware of a strange group of people guarded outside the town gate. They have empty, lifeless eyes, and on their faces, there is a flower of blood in full bloom, which seems to be corrosive away from most of their faces.

For some reason, those people snorted a few times, then headed this way. Oralie reached out and tugged at Selina's sleeve as if wanting her to step back. Then, Oralie asked SelIna, a worried look on her face:

- Sir, can you make the Yeg smell on you disappear?
