Gold-haired stranger-Daniel

After getting home, Ariel was so confused at what happened in the company. From the moment Sebastian had told her to leave, to the moment that the gold-haired stranger helped her. But Ariel decided to think less of what happened and rather, focus on meeting Resa later that night. Suddenly, the urge to go to the garden-now-turned forest came to her and Ariel did her best to reject that feeling. Her grandma walked into her room and asked "Ariel, why are you back from work this early?" And Ariel told her grandmother what happened at the office and the old woman looked lost in thoughts momentarily before gaining herself back.

"Grandma, why do I always get this feeling?" Ariel asked confused as worry filled her eyes.

"What feeling?" Her grandma asked and Ariel sighed before saying "I sometimes feel that urge to go back to mum's garden. Even after you told me not to anymore. The feeling is just something that's hard for me to reject. Why is it like that grandma? I know it's not normal".

Ariel's grandmother sighed before saying "Ariel, this is pretty hard for me to say. " "Just say it grandma" Ariel said as she prepared herself for what she was about to hear. Her grandmother said "Ariel,your mother is buried in the garden". Ariel was awestruck with the newly found information. "So I'm sure that's the reason you feel connected or perhaps you feel drawn to the garden atimes" her grandmother continued and Ariel finally found her voice and said "Why didn't you tell me about this since" her grandmother moved closer to Ariel and said "I wanted to protect you Ariel". "Protect me from?" Ariel asked and her grandmother replied "it's better we don't talk about this Ariel" the woman said and Ariel looked and felt hurt. She was mad at her grandma because she felt it would have been better if she had told her earlier.

With pain in her heart, she walked out of the room and out of the house. She took a taxi to the place where Resa had asked her to meet. Though it wasn't even near 9:00pm, Ariel went there. She just needed some time alone and also she needed more answers from Resa. So she decided to wait for Resa there. Getting to the place, Ariel's eyes met the huge sign board "Yang's residence- Your own perfect Haven". The place was an estate owned by a Chinese couple. Ariel told the driver to go in and when they got to the gates, the security guard there asked for their passes and Ariel could only state that she was invited by Theresa and the guard said "Theresa who?" "Theresa Wilson" Ariel said.

The guard stared at Ariel for a while and said "Welcome" before proceeding to open the huge Gates of the estate. The driver drove inside the estate as they both began to search for no 24. When they got to the house, Ariel got down from the cab and paid the driver. The house was really beautiful, not too extravagant but beautiful. Ariel walked towards the entrance and saw a chair by the side of the door and sat there. She knew perfectly that Resa wasn't home but she was ready to sit and wait for her.

This same moment in the CEO'S office, Resa told Sebastian "I have to go home" and Sebastian squinted his eyes briefly before saying "She's there right?" and Resa nodded as she said "I just had a vision about her and it looks like someone is about to go meet her there. Ariel can't be alone Sebastian, she needs someone who can protect her from people like Mike. Perhaps, you are that person" Sebastian laughed and said "Why do you think I'm the one fit to protect her? When you know I'm ten times more dangerous than Micheal" he said as his laughter subsided.

"You may never know Sebastian. I just believe you are fit for it" Resa retorted

"She's too perfect and innocent to be protected by someone who devours on both the innocent and guilty, Resa" Sebastian said

" Listen, Sebastian I know you have a good heart and I know you can protect her. So stop all this and do as you are told" Resa raised her voice slightly and Sebastian sighed and said "okay...I get your point. She can stay with me. That's what you want right?". Resa's face beamed with joy as she said "That's exactly what I want Sebastian. I'm off to meet her now". In a few seconds, Resa walked out of the office and soon, out of the company's walls.

She decided to used her vampiric powers to get home quickly, which was inhuman speed than rather, take a taxi. She ran very fast due to her powers and made sure no human saw her. Getting into the estate, she saw someone approaching the direction of her house and she sensed that the person wasn't human. It was a young man. With gold hair to be precise. If those guards had seen him, they wouldn't have allowed him in. Resa thought. As she got closer to him, she sensed he was a witch. "...shit!..." She uttered under her breath. She was sure he teleported here that's why the guards didn't see him. If they knew he was in the estate, they would send him away immediately because the inhabitants of the estate were only vampires and humans. The Chinese couple built the estate only for vampires and humans. So obviously, no witch was allowed here.

Resa wondered what this gold haired witch wanted with Ariel, so she decided to hide herself in a corner and watch what was about to unfold. If he made any attempts to take her with him, she would attack him. But for now, she didn't sense any ill intentions coming from him.

The gold haired witch finally got to Resa's house and walked towards Ariel. "Hey" he said and Ariel looked up and saw him and stood up"ohhh you. Thank you so much for your help earlier", Ariel said as her green eyes stared at him brightly. "It's nothing. I'm Daniel...Daniel Greene" he said stretching out his hand to her and she took it "I'm Ariel". "You have a beautiful name Ariel" Daniel said still holding her hand. "Thanks" Ariel said still smiling and Daniel smiled at her back. His smile was just so contagious and beautiful that Ariel couldn't help but blush. Removing her hand from his, Ariel then asked "Do you live around here?" And the man  paused for seconds before answering "Yeah. I just saw you walking down here and decided to come talk with you and see if you are safe" he said and Ariel just stared at his eyes. This guy wasn't human obviously. He teleported her out of the company earlier so there was no way he was human. "Oh okay..." She said as she sat back on the chair.

"I just wanted to confirm if you're safe and from the looks of it, you are now. So I'll be taking my leave now" Daniel said as she bid her goodbye and teleported away. It was obvious this guy didn't want to hide the fact he wasn't human from her. As soon as he was out of sight, Resa came out of her hiding place and went to Ariel.

"I didn't know you'll be here this early." Resa told Ariel. "Well, isn't it better?" Ariel asked and Resa nodded before they entered the house together. Ariel sat on the couch as Resa went into the kitchen to get her something to drink. "Here you go" she said handing Ariel a glass of orange juice. "Thank you" Ariel said taking it from Resa as she continued "Why are you back from work this early?" And Resa answered "The same reason you left". "Ohh" Ariel replied.

"So?" She asked Resa as the waited for the information she came here for to start spilling from Resa's mouth. "Ariel, why I was there that night when you saw Mike for the first time was because...I went to see your mother." Resa said.
