MADDIE POV

I head outside via the East wing exit and make my way through the small section of forest to get to our dungeon. Originally, the basement of the packhouse was where the prisoners were kept. However, about a hundred years ago, when my great-grandfather was the Alpha, the dungeon was moved off site as a safety precaution to the members residing at the packhouse. At least, that is the official story he gave, and it made sense to have it located elsewhere. So no one in the pack questioned him about moving it. He was their alpha and he was just looking out for their safety, right?

Wrong.

What he didn’t tell anyone is that he caught a witch on territory and instead of interrogating her or killing her, the Alpha-whore used the witch for personal means. Which included having an affair. I really enjoy your work and I can tell you or a lot of effort into it. Hopefully anyone who criticized your update schedule meant it more in a 'I can't wait for more' way. I read your first book all at once and was disappointed to find it was the only one but I waited patiently for this one.
