FORTY-EIGHT

SCARLETT / CARA POV 

I know it isn’t for my benefit that he loosened them, but that doesn't mean I can't use it. The Alpha approaches me but this time I wait, feeling the other Alpha's blood run through me, giving me the energy I needed to continue to fight again. I use the slack the Alpha just gave me to pull myself up and kick the Alpha that grabbed me from the pack in the face, making him end up on his back across the room.

The new Alpha lets go of the cord, making his way back over to me, forgetting to tie off the cord to the chains, giving me even more slack to move more freely. He goes to hit me, but I block it. I go to kick him again but grabs my ankle just like before, except this time I have more freedom to move.

I use the grip he has on my ankle to lift myself up again and swing my other foot around, connecting with his jaw, getting him to let go of my leg as it turns him around. I land on my feet and move quickly
