Mrs Martins took her seat and looked out of the window. Her stomach was very big and round now. Then she turned back to look at Dennis and shook her head. The boy look stressed out, and she was aware of how close Dennis and Delilah were.

"Yes, Mrs Martins?" Dennis called out to let the woman know that he was still there.

"I didn't forget about you, love. Come here and take a seat." Mrs Martins said, gesturing to the chair on the other side of the table.

Dennis obeyed and took his seat. He knew that he would be in trouble and have a good scolding, if not more for beating that boy up like that. But Dennis was not going to apologise, even if they threatened to expel him. He did the right thing for the sake of other girls that that lunatic might come across.

What if she was being sold at this very point? He thought. Dennis had read stories of human traders— traffickers, organ harvesters and people who used humans as game.
