My heart was beating faster than normal at the thought that Dane had been in mortal danger and Hekate; my mother, had to intervene and the children had witnessed it.

The fear clouded my thoughts and feelings, drowning the emotions geared from meeting my birth mother for the first time.

So many things were happening at the same time. I took a quick glance at the entrance Hekate had walked through a moment before with my children as if it was the most natural thing in the world, and not that she had just brought my children back from Mount Olympus.
