CHAPTER 11 Taking Measures

The Sanders’ cottage caretaker was a man in his early sixty’s.  Unknown to the two wandering visitor he was also spying on them the moment they were within eyesight. He cannot be sure who they were but since they were not coming close to the house, he did not bother to question them. They looked suspicious but decent. He had no idea what they here for. An hour after,  he went out to investigate but many cottages were yet empty during that week. Only the house of the elderly woman was occupied. They knew each other and the elderly woman was very trusting.  She can easily give away information if asked. He found out that they were policemen asking about the murders at the old cottage . She also informed him that they were asking about the boys who stayed in cottage he now looked after.

The caretaker though only employed for five years  thought that he ought to inform his employer about it.
