Chapter 43: How Do You Say Friends in German?
Normally, Everly sat in the same seat in German class every day. It wasn’t as if it was an assigned seat or anything, but she felt like everyone had their favorites. Today, she was tempted to sit by Will. She felt like she owed him an apology.
Rather than doing that, though. She dropped her stuff off at her regular seat and then ducked over next to him for a minute. “Hey,” she said, sort of squatting, half bending over next to him.
