Chapter 7

I took another sip of my coffee before speaking. What I had to say shocked both of them.

“I, Roxanne Fisher, hereby reject you, Dylan McGuire, as my mate,” I stated with a hiss.

A pain spread through my chest as soon as I finished the sentence. I put a hand to my chest with a grimace, while Dylan growled in pain.

“I, Dylan McGuire, hereby accept your rejection,” he mumbled through the pain.

The pain that erupted through us was worse than I could ever have imagined. My chest felt like it was on fire and being turned inside out. I fell out of my chair and howled. I curled up in a ball and cried. Amanda yowled and whined before she retreated

crying.

Dylan wasn’t farring much better. He had his head on the table, tears streaming down his face onto the hard surface. I knew that this was wrong to do, but it had to be done. I wasn’t going to give in and just leave to be a Luna.

Another pain spread through my abdomen and I cried out again. Dylan hopped out of his chair and kneeled down
