I took another sip of my coffee before speaking. What I had to say shocked both of them.“I, Roxanne Fisher, hereby reject you, Dylan McGuire, as my mate,” I stated with a hiss.A pain spread through my chest as soon as I finished the sentence. I awoke to a dark room. From my position, and my comfort, I could tell I was in my bed. I slowly opened my eyes. My head was pounding, and my vision was spotty for a few moments. I groaned as I sat up. Amanda was curled up in the fetal position in the back of my mind. Were you there for all of that? I asked her. She groaned, Yes, I was. I just sat back and listened. She left it at that, and went back to curling up. I knew she wasn’t going to be fine for a little bit. I just needed to give her time. I sighed and rubbed my eyes, my feet dangling off the edge of my bed. My curtains were closed, leaving my room very dark. I grunted as I stood up. The moment I stepped outside my room I was hit with a heavenly scent. It was the delicious smell of coffee. I raced down the stairs into the kitchen. For the second time, I woke up to light streaming through my window, with a pounding headache. It looked to be just past noon. My back ached, and I tried to roll over, only to find myself restricted. I slowly opened my eyes to find my mate fast asleep next to me. His arm was wrapped around my waist, pinning me down. He was so angelic when sleeping. A small smile played on his lips.
