Hayden's P. O. V.
I poured my heart out to Millie once I found out she would be leaving for college. It is not because I wanted her to change her mind but to let her know that I am hers whether she stays or leaves. I couldn't let her go without her knowing how I felt about her for all these years. This doesn't mean I am okay with her leaving. I wish she would stay here with me, but I couldn't be the one to hold her back. I knew she had dreams and aspirations. I couldn't get in the way of her dreams. She meant too much to me.
Her eyes were full of tears as I told her, and I immediately regretted it. Maybe I shouldn't have told her. Now she will feel guilty and that was the last thing I wanted. I wanted her to be excited about her future, but shit, I made her cry instead.

Hayden P. O. V. I laughed when I saw the look on her face when I told her I would do something to her. Of course, I was only messing with her, but I guess she took it seriously.
