The next morning, I was awake before it was even five in the morning. The king was still sleeping in bed, and so were the children.

I had made up my mind, and I knew what I wanted to do. I got to my feet and I crept out of the door as quietly as I possibly could. I went to find Locks in the room that I thought belonged to him, and I was surprised when I knocked the door, and he was still in charge of this room.

His eyes were heavy with sleep, and when he opened the door as if he wasn't expecting it to be me, he widened his eyes in shock and slammed the door in my face.

I flinched, taken aback, wondering what was going on. He reopened the door a few seconds later. His face was washed, and he had packed his hair up. I couldn't help but smile. I wondered why on earth he was trying to look good for me.

"Hey, I wanted to talk to you. I'm sorry to come and barge into your room so early this morning."

"What did you want to talk about?"
