Two rounds

The next day, which is a Monday, Adan is preparing for work. He maps out his plans for the day. He is still very angry about what happened the previous evening but doesn't let it budge him.

He is already ready for work except that he hasn't knotted his tie yet. He sits at the dining table to have his breakfast. Marinette serves him toasted bread and oatmeal with coffee alongside.

Adan takes a bite on his toasted bread when he notices the sad countenance on Marinette's face. He pretends not to observe her and assumes that she is fine. When she was done serving him, she retired to the kitchen to do other things.

Marinette is standing by the kitchen door as she watches him eat. This makes him uncomfortable as he drops the last bite back on the plate.

"You can clear the table. I'm done." He tells her as he gulps down water and finishes his glass of juice then gets up from the chair, standing with his arms open.
