We sat in an awkward silence finding the correct words to initiate the conversation. 

Her green eyes held the same calculative look which it has when we first met. 

The silence was overwhelming and it was killing me to find the answers to all the questions floating in my head.

"Who is Jack?" 

"He is the beta's son like I told you before," she immediately answered.

"How do you both know each other?" 

"We are from the same pack," she replied.

It was far away from the answers which I needed. I had to ask her about last night. 

"Who were you talking to last night" I finally asked.

Her eyes widened slightly in surprise. She was not expecting me to hear any of the conversations she had. She sat up a little straight and cleared her throat.

"What are you talking about?"

I suppressed the urge to roll my eyes, "You know what I am talking about, and don't say I was dreaming or any other absurd
