TRAUMA

      I had  been watching Tiktok on my phone when Nessa walked in looking like a zombie I greeted her and she said she's going up stairs , I thought she would be back soon so i waited d for some few minutes and then decided to check up on her only to find her asleep. I had wanted to tell her about the contract I had to go to San Francisco to  attend a wedding and be the makeup artist and I'm expected to be there three days to the wedding which is next Tomorrow and I'll be leaving tomorrow. I tapped her but she seemed too engrossed in her sleep to listen to me so I decided to go sleep and will let her know the next day.

    NEXT DAY

I woke up packed my bag , took my bathe and  came down stairs suprised cause I didn't see Nessa so I went to her room and she wasn't there.

So I decided to call her 

"Hey K sorry but I had to go to work early "she said abruptly ending the call

How I'm I going to tell her about me travelling, I think I'll just leave her a note.

     

     Hey Nessa sorry I had to leave before you come back but I just wanted to let you know that I'll be in San Francisco because of a wedding contract I need to leave right now and I'll be there for three more days .

I think this is good enough. So I took my bags and ordered a ride to the airport. Soon I was already on board.

I was still in dream land when my phone started ringing "who is disturbing my sleep" I said slurring 

"Hey van you need to be at the office in the next 30 minutes "he stated  I could tell it was Zeke that bastard "alright "I said ending the call as I hurriedly took my bathe got  dressed and started driving to work . Ohh shoot I didn't tell Karen I was leaving and just as I thought about that she 

called "Hey K sorry but I had to go to work early " I said hurriedly and ended the call.

As I parked the car in the parking lot and walked into the building only to meet Zeke with a cup of coffee sip slowly as he crossed his leg .

"The nerve of you Zeke you called me to come quickly and you are sipping a coffee by the way why did you call me?" I asked "well I wanted us to go visit the receptionist at the hospital " he said staring straight at me 

"And you couldn't wait for me to resume work the normal time which is 8 am and you had to wake me up by 6 you really got some nerve " I ranted as I yanked the cup of coffee from him and started drinking It  " hey that was mine I was still drinking that " he said well I paid him no attention 

As I walked to my car and yelled for him to come .

Then  he entered and I started driving and I decided  to play my song as maroon 5's memories came on and with that we rode in silence. 

     We got to the hospital and showed the lady at the desk our ID and demanded to see the only survival from #3 pollens drive attack and she asked us to follow her .

She was sitting on the bed staring at the window looking into space 

"Hello I'm detective Vanessa " I said smiling as I showed her my ID she didn't respond even though she turned and looked at me. 

"I would like to ask you some questions about the incident that happened at the inn " I said 

Still she kept quiet 

Then I showed her pictures of the bite marks and she seemed frightened and started shaking and her heart beat speed up "nurse please call the doctor !!" Zeke yelled as doctors and nurses ran into the room " please excuse us for a moment you can wait outside " the nurse told us

So we both went outside the room.

Some minutes later the doctor came out " well the patient is suffering from emotional trauma and we advise that you pause the questioning for today " he said " alright thank you doctor when she is discharged please give me a call " I said giving him my card.

I wonder why Zeke didn't say anything through out so I turned and signalled him for us to go to the car on my way out I waved the lady at the desk as we stepped outside. 

"Van I think I'll drive " Zeke said stretching forth his hands for the keys 

" no you aren't allowed to drive my baby " I said fake glaring 

" oh come on I just wanna drive and besides you look exhausted " he said hmm that's reasonable I'll let him drive 

" alright you can drive but please let's stop at the restaurant nearby I couldn't wat breakfast because of you " I said as I passed the keys over to him and went to the passenger's side of the car.

He started the car and we rode in silence 

I wonder why she tensed up and reacted the way she did when I showed her the picture of the bite Mark's or did she see who did it ? Every thing is so confusing I really need to gather more evidence or I will never hear the end of it from …

" Van hey come on we are here"  Zeke said interrupting my thoughts , the nerve of him.

So I unlocked my door and we walked into the restaurant as we sat a waitress came smiling obviously flirting with Zeke not like he's cute . He smiled at her , okay he is cute " what will you like to order" she said " burger and fries with a mango juice " I said " and what about you handsome?" She said smiling " I'll get same thing as her but with an orange juice " he said as she walked off swaying her stiff ass . Ugh show off what a fake bimbo. Few minutes later she came back with a tray of what we ordered as she playfully shoved a napkin which I know for a fact has her number written on it .gross

After we ate he paid for the both of us " Zeke I told you I will take care of my bills" I said as we walked to the car " don't worry this means you owe my dinner another time " he said smirking .

We rode in silence as all I could think about was how much of a jerk he is.
