CHAPTER FIFTY ONE: THE DATE

Rhea’s POV

I stared at the dark room in confusion. Where was Adrian?

Then slowly, a candle lit in the middle of the room and I saw the silhouette of a man. I stood frozen with a mix of fear and anticipation. I knew that it was Adrian, and I could guess what was going on. As music started playing, I didn’t know whether to laugh in exhilaration or cry. As more and more candles lit, I could see the rose petals scattered all over and the dinner set up on the table. It was so beautiful and just what every girl dreamed of…

Adrian must have realized that if he left the matters to me, I would always hide behind the shadows of my fears. So he had set up the perfect candle light dinner for us to woo me. So romantic!
