The next morning, I couldn’t keep the smile off my face. I still couldn’t believe that I was now Adrian’s girlfriend.
I didn’t know what made him say that he loved me. But for me, it started the day I met those beautiful sapphire eyes. Every little thing about him intrigued me… his gorgeous smile, his messy hair and his husky voice…
But then, it was not just his appearance that mattered. I loved even the little things about him. How he rubbed his jaw while he was thinking hard about something. I was not huffing and puffing like I usually do even after all the running. I found the demon hovering over a few feet away. I slowed down and approached with caution. Why did it stop suddenly? I reached near the demon and it started making high-pitched screeching noises? Was it cursing me or begging me to leave it alone? I shrugged and tried to think of what to do? I had a demon in front of me, but how would I capture it? I couldn’t touch it, and spells didn’t work on it. Then what else could I do? Once In could focus my eyes again, I saw Adrian standing there and looking at me with an anxious expression. It felt like déjà vu and I remembered waking up like this in his for the first time like this after a similar situation. “We have to stop meeting like this,” I joked and cleared my throat when I felt my voice break. My throat was as dry as the desert. How long had I been out this time? I was feeling like a pansy who fainted now and then.
