Olivia POV
Damon Pierce.
A name that sent chills down my spine. The notorious Alpha-to-be of the Opal pack. He was here, greeting our teacher with a million-dollar smile plastered on his face. He was a huge, good-looking guy, and I could see girls fanning themselves as they were ogling him. He screamed power, almost the same way Marcus did, but it was no wonder because of their pack’s pasts.
I looked over at Marcus, and he was stone-faced while he watched the exchange of polite formalities between the teacher and Damon. I couldn’t read him, but when he looked over at me, everything around me was gone and I was lost in the deep pools of his gray thunderous eyes.
I could stay like that forever, but then reality came back crashing into me when I heard Tyson whisper into my ear.

Tears wanted to fall from my eyes but I was holding my breath, trying hard not to shed any. A simple word that cut like a knife. Olivia POV As we got closer to the Alpha training area, my group and I slowed a little down and watched the scene that was unfolding in front of us. Marcus stood tall as he faced Tyson. He looked intimidating as his focus was purely on Tyson. I couldn’t take my eyes off of him as I took him fully in. His stance was wide and his drenched shirt clung tightly to every curve of his muscles. His arms were casually hanging on his sides as he kept his fists closed. Olivia POV It’s been a few days since we came to the camp and that training when Marcus and Tyson fought each other. Thanks to our shifter genes, Tyson healed pretty quickly from his broken nose. One of his ribs was also broken and he had a few small bruises here and there. He wasn’t hurt too badly. Marcus had mostly bruises, but nothing was damaged. To add to my wonderful messed up story, Damon didn’t leave me alone either. Not only had I been bumping into him constantly, but he was also openly flirty with me, especially near Marcus, which would lead to two of his friends pulling him away or Samantha taking the opportunity to get her claws into him and leading him somewhere away from us. That only fueled Damon’s desire to pick on Marcus, and I wished I could just smack him on the head for playing with fire… yes, he is a dragon… ironic

Olivia POV The night was a little chilly and breezy as the sky was clear with sparkling stars that shine above our heads. I couldn’t believe I was here now, walking alongside none other but Damon towards the bonfire. I was surprised, to say the least when he came to my door and as he said to pick me up. We joked and laughed as we walked, and I was surprised as to how easy it actually was to talk with him. When he wanted, he could be a fun guy and a gentleman, and I liked that side of him, easy-going and relaxed, not the guy who was flirty and trying to rile Marcus up by provoking him with any gesture that popped on his head.

When we finally came to a stop, I saw a meadow covered with tall grass swaying in the gentle breeze.
