Atlas, having heard what they have discussed, feels happy; he was so amazed. Holding a glass of wine when Frank walked in.

"I should not believe that you are behind what is happening." Frank got Atlas's attention.

"I do not understand you; I do not know where you are bringing this from." Atlas could respond.

"Isabella has made her intention known; she is strong with Christian." Frank, he aggressively replied.

"Really, and how does it concern me? It has no business with me." Atlas answered. "All I know is that the throne belongs to me. And soon I will have it."

"She might seem brave, yet little does she know. I know it all and am very fit for the throne." Atlas responded so carefully.

"Just watch your step; be careful with what you are doing." Frank gave him a short warning and left.

"What do they take me for, a bastard?" Atlas asked himself. "One that does not know his right?" He added. "As long as the custom and the tradition exist. I, Atlas, will surely take the throne." Atlas pressed it to his chest.

Just at 5:00 pm, Atlas rushed down to Beatrice, the female among the kingmakers.

"He was at my house today; what exactly was the outcome of the meeting?" Atlas asked, Beatrice who was just stepping down from her car.

"The princess and her bodyguard, seen to have a strong bond, where the princess couldn't in any way speak about cutting ties with him, rather she stood her ground to spend the rest of her life with him." Beatrice could speak better.

Atlas smiled and walked three steps around the car park, then replied.

"This is a full assurance that I will be crowned the king tomorrow if she fails," Atlas said, beating his chest.

"I doubt it." Beatrice replied. Atlas paused, wondering why she had said so.

"Why do you say so? Do you think she can't step down?" Or have you forgotten the customs and traditions?" Atlas could stress his words. His heart is beating fast.

"She is not like her brother. Isabella has a brave spirit; she is more than a woman. I doubt if the council will not postpone the gathering tomorrow if she fails to conform to the tradition."

"Never, that won't happen. I have the tradition right in my fingertips." Atlas was scolded immediately. "I can read it right before them. A prince or princess that had failed to marry from a royal home, not just a royal home, but a wealthy noble home. Such princesses or princesses should forfeit the throne to the extended member of the family, where there is none to take over from the family in question." Atlas spoke and paused. "Prince Charles has forfeited it; now Isabella has to do the same." He shouted.

"That is the tradition, but remember that there is one who lives, the same who is a part of the lawmaker, which is your grandfather. He has always loved Isabella or Charles to rule. You do not have a royal attitude." Beatrice exposed him. "You are rough, rude, and arrogant. Your reign won't and will never profit the kingdom.

"Do not speak to me in such a manner," Atlas interrupted her. "You will be the first. I will definitely step down as part of the kingmaker. If I fail, Beatrice, you will fail." Atlas is pointing at her.

"You seek the throne, yet you lack the qualities of a leader. I doubt you have it!" She nodded her head.

Atlas drew closer to Beatrice and held her on her neck.

"Take your hands off my neck..." Beatrice struggles with her breath.

"I will strangle you if nothing is done. If I fail, your life and that of everyone will definitely be at risk." Atlas nodded his head on Beatrice's forehead; she fell down and struggled to her sitting room.

Atlas went his way.

"I swear, he will lose it. We, the kingmakers, will make sure Isabella takes the throne. We can't be ruled by an arrogant man. I will make sure that Isabella takes over the throne. Not Atlas." Beatrice, after coughing and trying to regain herself, decides on that.

The kingdom remained in fear; Frank couldn't rest or sleep. His heart kept boiling, so worried about the throne. There he walked down to Emily's room.

A silent knock at the door. It sounds slow. Emily opened her eye in fear; she would wonder who is at the door.

"It is me, Grandpa." Frank answered him.

Emily got the door opened.

"Grandpa, you are still awake?" Emily carefully asked.

"I am disturbed." Grandpa breathed down.

"Should I get you a glass of water?!" She asked him.

"No, Emily, I do not need it." He answered. "It seems you are not doing your work. You have proven to the entire kingdom that you can't convince the princess." Grandpa, speak with a frown look.

Emily would sit upright; she had her nightgown well covered and sat facing Grandpa.

"Grandpa, I have done everything possible. I did my best to see that Isabella could cut ties with Christian. Besides, I thought what they had was just business; unknown to me, they had gone beyond boundaries." Emily explains herself.

"That's because you weren't observant. You are not a good observant." Grandpa cautioned her.

"I think I worked based on the contract she had with him. How on earth will I believe Isabella to have an affair with her bodyguard? It never occurred in my memory." She answered.

"If by tomorrow she hasn't changed, I will make sure you leave the palace. You know what that means."

"Grandpa, please, I promised to work harder." Emily promised.

"Beside where is Isabella?" Grandpa asked.

"She should be in her room, sleeping." Emily answered.

"I think you speak to Isabella; why do I go speak to Christian? This has to settle tonight," Emily suggested.

Grandpa nodded his head; he stood from the bed and walked down to Isabella's room; she wasn't there.

"Where has Isabella gone to?" Grandpa got scared that he had to call for the whole maiden.

"Where is the princess?" Grandpa asked one of the maidens, Isabella, for a person maid.

"She should be in her room." She answered.

" Unfortunately she is not there." Grandpa spoke.

"It shouldn't be what I think." Grandpa sounded and started walking fast to Christian's room. On reaching there, he found Emily almost there; she had delayed while trying to cover her body, probably.

Grandpa and Emily stood before the Christian door. "I doubt she should be here," Emily doubted.

"Let's check." Grandpa insisted. "Was she kidnapped overnight? If she was, her personal guard should explain to us better." Grandpa stood on his word.

Unfortunately, Emily had noticed the sound coming from Christian's room; she knew Isabella had broken the boundary. Even when Emily would try to hide the taboo Isabella had committed by first having intimacy with Christian, now she was short of what to say.

"I heard a strange voice. I think Christian is busy with one of the maids. This would be very good evidence to prove more why Isabella mustn't have him for a husband." Grandpa, imagine.

"You got the point, Grandpa. I will suggest we go on in search of Isabella; without distracting Christian, he would be fired tomorrow." Emily tried to deceive him.

"No, she won't believe us." Grandpa, he answered, with his index finger on his lips.

"Come to think of it. The whole palace maiden is complete; where have Christians brought this from? She must be a whore." Grandpa thought. "I am going in there to have that as evidence; thanks, we have one." Grandpa stepped into the Christian room when Emily held him back.

"No, Grandpa, I am an eyewitness. I will definitely support you in this. But not going that far in distracting his excitement." Emily, speaking with a smile on her face.

"I insist." Grandpa said and walked into Christian's room. He was shocked by what he saw.

"My goodness. Isabella!" Grandoa exclaimed.

"What the hell is this?" You are here making love with your bodyguard. What a high abomination you are committing. Is this how you want to rule the kingdom?" Grandpa asked with aggressiveness.

Isabella and Christian stood, Isabella trying to cover her nakedness while Christian held onto his boxers.

"No, I see why you insisted we go back, Emily. You are fully aware of this, yet you kept it hidden." Grandpa felt disappointed.

"Christian, you will hear from the council." Grandpa spoke and left with pains.

Christian would hit his hands on the wall. Isabella accused Emily of this.

"You betrayed me, Emily. He wouldn't have known this is you if you hadn't told him. "I hate you, Emily." Isabella could scold at her.

"Princess, I wasn't aware. I swear, Grandpa insisted we search for you." Emily tried explaining, but when Isabella walked out in pain, she thought about what to do.

This was the height of it all, Grandpa wouldn't take. Not even for once. Grandpa kept walking around the room, with a Christian heart beating, shivering as well. Knowing what would become of him.

"You should have known your fate by now." Emily, mocking Christian. Emily felt butterflies in her belly; she was so happy about what would befall Christian. On the other hand, she is already fired.
