He cupped my chin, brought my face closer to his. He held my chin so tightly, made sure we locked our eyes.

His eyes was devoid of emotion that I couldn’t read what he was feeling at the moment . Not happiness; not sadness; I wasn’t able to read anything from that dark expression on his face.

“I have always wanted you to become my wife. I had always wanted you to serve me, but you didn’t. Instead, you ran away as if I never mattered.” His fingers around my chin was getting quite tighter, that I had to fight with him to let go. “Let go of me right this instant!”

“Oh, you feel pain now?” He roughly let go, his nail tearing through my skin.

He gently picked up the bottle in front of me, cocked it and poured a small content in the glass.”

“Here, drink up! It’s a very special day today.” He forced the glass cup into my hand. “Drink up! It’s our day.”
