Sarah pov

Invisible tears fell down my cheek. Seeing my sister standing made me have the urge to run towards her. But I still stood my ground regardless.

Adrian looked at my sister, his eyes gave a cold vibe.

“There's one thing I didn't tell you. Your sister and Adrian had always been on logger heads. And Adrian always seems to come out last.”

“Shhh” Although I was grateful to Kate for informing me about this. But she shouldn't say that even though she only whispered. Adrian is a wolf, and his sense would definitely be sharper than even hers. For him to come in without being undetected, one could say his senses were on high level.

And soon enough my guess was right. He looked at Kate (my new found friend) with hostility in his eyes. Kate shrinks back farther. This Adrian was not going to make a move against a human right? I spread my arms wide, in a defensive stance.

“Hey little dog. Do you want to come play some game with me? Maybe I can wipe your ass one more time.” A skinny youth from Kate's side, steps out. He wasn't human that I was sure of. His eyes seemed to change to that of blood red. Thankfully Kate didn't notice it. Without thinking much, I knew he was a vampire

Adrian grit his teeth.

“Fine” That word was spoken with a bit of force and anger. It seems this skinny guy said something to offend him.

The skinny guy winked at me before jogging towards the woods. The school is made up of woods and forest forming fences over the school. To say the school was being built inside the wood wasn't wrong.

Adrian looked at me for a moment before leaving towards the direction the skinny guy left. But for some reason his eyes left a deep impression on me. As if it's telling me, “I will find you”.

“Are you alright?” my sister Kate, walked up to me.

“I'm fine” I breathed out, feeling relief.

“I… I will get going now” Kate said looking at my sister, she looks to be a big fan of my sister.

“Alright, I will catch up with you later” I waved at her as she walked away. Thank God the issue was resolved early.

“Why are you here, does father know you are here?” Kate bombarded me with questions. She seems to be holding her thoughts since Adrian and Kate were still here at that time.

“Father gave me to give you” I handed an envelope to her “father already knows about me coming here” Kate tore the envelope open before reading the content. After reading it, a small ball of flame rose from her hand as she burned the paper into ashes.

“ What's father thinking? What's he planning? That he had to allow you into coming here. Is this some kind of joke or what!”

“Father, maybe have his own reason.”

“But you haven't learned how to tame your wolf. Thank goodness that I arrived earlier, if not I don't know if it's only a piece of bone that would be remaining of your new found friend. And don't forget that you are in a mixed school. Everyone with abilities can sense your wolf, and since you are still learning, you are bound to be an easy target.”

Sh*t I didn't remember this when I came here. I really messed up really badly. The truth of the matter was that my father never wrote those letters. I forged my dad's handwriting and used his seal of authority to seal these letters, when my father was in one of his concubine rooms.

“Guys I think this isn't the time for this! Because Raphael needs our help before Adrian is going to tear him down” One of Kate's friends spoke up. This guy wore casual clothing different from the school uniform all of them wore. For some reason I couldn't place my hand on what kind of ability he possessed.

“Shit, to the back mountain! Everyone quick!” Kate led her team off. Stopping for a while she looked at me “stay behind me, don't try anything funny”

Of course I was going to stay beside her, although I was a little bit childish, but I do know when to advance and to redraw. And now this time was the good time to just be the spectators.

I followed my sister down into the woods, jumping, flying trees on our way there. My eyes focused on the one who reminded my sister about Adrian, and what I saw shocked me. The way he moved, so freely, and faster than his team, but for some reason he slowed down a great lot. His image becomes slightly blurry as they merge with nature.

That's was when it hit me, this guy was part of the trees men. Although by the name, one might think he belongs or has to do with life, as the attributes of tree is life. But his is different, just like the life, the opposite of life is death. It was recorded that their forefathers were chased out of the tree clan after he killed his leader. And because of that nature condemned him to death. But for some unknown reason, he found a tree reincarnation copy an immortal left behind. He studied it and successfully reincarnated becoming one with death, instead of life. So as the tree clan heals, or gives life, he kills and take life.

What the heck is my sister doing with these people? First a vampire, and now a tree killer, what else is in her group.

In the forest, we reached where a piece of wood was carved and written. END OF ZONE, DO NOT ENTER.

“Stay behind me!” My sister roared as she shifted straight into a big brown wolf. Her claws create a deep footprint on the soil. Three more shifted into their wolves, as they both pushed forward.

I looked on with envy in my eyes, if only I had been able to shift willingly. That would have been great.

It's not that I can't change, but I can't control my wolf, allowing her access means giving her my life.

A wolf cry tore through the sky. What was that? I do know that it wasn't my sister, and it wasn't the skinny guy, because he was a vampire. That could actually mean one thing.

  • The runaway princess and her lone alpha   19. SOMETHING TO REGRET

Mr Johnson watched as Adrian dealt with his pressure with ease, and he felt shocked. He was much higher in power skills and combat power than Adrian. But the fact that Adrian countered it made him feel shut out of words. When he first arrived in this academy. He heard a lot of stories about Adrian, the dark horse of the academy. And he thought he was only flaunting his family powers. But when he experienced how he easily countered his skill, he knew he had to elevate his opinion about him. Although everyone in the Hall saw what happened, they didn't know that an exchange was done in a mere 3 seconds. Not even the human, nor the spiritual beings detected any signs. They knew Adrian was doomed. In the academy. It was against the rule to go against a lecturer, and not any one at that but Mr Johnson. A man feared by all. Although he only came into the academy recently, he was able to make everyone wary of him. Mr Johnson stood still on the podium, no one knew what was on his mind. Ini

  • The runaway princess and her lone alpha   18. FOUND YOU

Sarah came back to the Hall. The same Hall every class B was told to wait. Arriving outside she could clearly hear noises from outside. No instructors were here yet. Adrian looked at her for a split second before turning away, and walking off. While Sarah looked on at the departing Adrian as a wave of emotions overwhelmed her. She never wanted any regrets. When he rejected her, she thought it was an opportunity to just complete her task and leave. But now he seems to be messing with her emotions. She is confused and doesn't know what to do. Maybe she needed a break from all this. Not wanting to think further. She went into the Hall. Kate hasn't arrived yet. That's strange. Even though the instructor hasn't arrived yet. But Kate is supposed to have been here by now. Using her six senses, she scanned the entire Hall. Ever since she was able to tame her wolf, she slowly began to be able to do some basic things all wolves can do. Like having the ability to hear voices from far and nea

  • The runaway princess and her lone alpha   17. KATE'S FAITH

Kate held some books to her blossom. Walking fast to get to where Sarah was. Seeing how far the distance was from where she was to where the Hall was located. She decided to take a short cut or rather what she thinks it's the fastest route. Turning to her left she walked for a while before she crossed a place that people don't frequently pass through. The road was lonely, as it was near the woods. Kate held her textbook tightly to her chest, as she took a deep breath, wondering if it was okay passing through. Many people have complained about seeing animals lurking around, especially wolves. Although she did not know how true those words were. But seeing how Sarah would be waiting for her. She shut her eyes tightly before opening them. What was left was a look of determination, as she crossed the narrow road, she kept her fingers crossed, praying silently. But her feet were faster now, compared to before. She had just reached the edge and just a few steps would take her out of ther

Sarah ran out of the Hall, in front of the large crowd gathered. Some looked at her with confusion, not knowing what transpired. While some minded their business. Sarah kept running, not looking if she bumped into someone or not. She ran till she reached the edge of the woods. Some students lurk behind, either with their partners or their friends, or some just stay behind for no reason. Sarah squatted down, keeping her head on her knees. As she cries silently. For the first time, she felt tired. About everything, she just wanted to go home, go far away from here. The environment suddenly stilled. That Sarah felt it too. Before she could still hear people talking, voices lurking around. But now everything just stilled as if no one was there. Looking up, her eyes first caught a brown expensive shoe, followed by a pair of long pants, and before going up to a black thick jacket and a dangerous but handsome face, he looked at her silently, there wasn't anything written on his face. • The runaway princess and her lone alpha   15. YOU DON'T DESERVE HIM

The next day… In a large Hall besides the Cateferia. Groups of students from 01B, 02B, 03B, and 04B gathered together. Even when gathered together the senior students showed off by not associating with their Juniors. Even most of the Junior didn't dare go cause trouble for the senior as they stayed in their lane. Sarah and Kate stood together. Their instructor was supposed to be there but for some reason no one was available at the moment. “We have been standing here for over 30 minutes now and no one is here now. No teacher or instructor.” Kate complained. Her brows turn in a frown. “They might be here any moment though. We were asked to wait here. So someone would definitely come. By the way, where is the text book I asked about?” Sarah remembered she asked for some textbooks from Kate. She hasn't been paying much attention to some subjects and now to make up for that she has to study hard. “Ouch, I completely forgot it in class. I really wanted to give you, but it slipped my m

  • The runaway princess and her lone alpha   14. WHATS IN FOR ME

Into the woods, where everything seems quiet. A figure suddenly appears covering her face with a hood. Her steps seem light as she walks. Even when she stepped on top of a weak stick, her feet seemed so soft that she couldn't break the branch. When she reached a particular place where she was sure no one was watching. She leaned on the tree, taking off the hood that was hiding her face. Her eyes were red with blood, trailing down. Her face now looked so weak with little blood. Right now if any one could see her. They would surely think she was an old woman in her death bed. “ You are injured” Suddenly a voice resounds in her head. It wasn't a question but a statement. The weak lady looked in a particular far direction where she was sure the source of the voice could be. There is a figure wearing a large hooded black coat. No one could know if it was male or female. But the deep voice dictated that it was a male.“Adrian injured my eyes” The figure didn't move. But it crossed distanc
