27. PROTECTED BY THE ALPHA

“How's she?” A hooded figure covered in black. Looked at Mia who laid on the bed covered in bandage around her chest area. This hooded figure was the one who helped Mia the last time.

“She's fine for now. The sword was targeted to kill her” The Mia maid explained.

“Two in a roll. First was Adrian, and second is someone we don't know anything about. And this is very dangerous.” The mystery figure thought loudly.

“Do you think she was targeted because they found out about her?”

“Don't say that. Although I can't overrule that. I will definitely keep my eyes on the academy councils. I am sure if what you are saying is true then that person would try to report the matter, in other he can receive great benefit. And that's our clue to catch him or her. But before that I will be on my way” The mysterious figure looked at Mia. “If she wakes up. Tell her, her father is angry and scared for her. Although she's bent on fulfilling her duty to him. He is more worried for her. And his best wish in life is to see her saved. So she must try to keep herself safe. No matter what. Or else he would personally come to bring her back” He handed three more safety talisman to the maid before vanishing into thin air.

Right back at the competition. Two groups were being divided. The humans and the demons. Although to the human who thought they were divided based on draw lot. But the supernatural knew far from it.

Now it took two days before the human competition was completed. With the results coming in as the a class known

as the team Alpha coming first. 54%

Team Cavaliers (C Class)) coming second 50%

Team Dark Knight (D Class)) coming third 49%

and Team Beta coming last.47%

It wasn't that team Beta wasn't good. But because Mason held the team. Taking the team forward through levels. Her speed was a great advantage and assets to the team. But the officials recognized and thought she was a vampire. So she was forcefully removed and some of her points were forfeited. This made Mason keep on grumbling till the match ended.

Now it was the supernatural turn. And their location was more complex than they thought..

“Are you sure you would be alright?” Sarah asked, feeling concern for her dear friend.

“Don't worry I will be alright. Though I would have loved to come with you. I want to see how you guys do your stuff.” Mason thought aloud. Ever since John bit her, she has started having this thing… although she couldn't explain it. But the fact that she wanted to know more about these supernatural beings.

“Don't worry, you will have time to experience it soon. But for now I will be going now” Sarah gave a heartwarming hug to Mason. She was finally happy that she was finally getting used to all this. She might even be lucky to be able to possess more abilities other than fast and reflex.

The humans mumbled, obviously not happy about the situation. They weren't happy that they were not selected. But what they didn't know was that this was a show down for the strongest.

Luxurious buses stopped down to pick the students, to take them to their destination. Once inside Sarah was surprised to see the seats being occupied. Only a two seater was left behind. And Adrian happened to occupied one seat living the other ones empty. And no one dares to occupy that seat with him. The few students that didn't occupied any seat could only stand. And that was what Sarah was planning on doing. Since there wasn't any seat available. Then she rather do stand, after all she wasn't human, that get tired.

A small groan was heard by all the students in the bus. Even the teacher who they kept in charge of the students saftey. Had been originally sleeping, opened his eyes wide when he had that groan.

A small groan made everyone feel chill. There wasn't any need to know where that groan came from.

Adrian! If it wasn't Adrian then what was it?

A female students that had originally witnessed Adrian standing up for Sarah, saw the empty seat besides Adrian. That was when it hit her. What other reason was there to upset this lone alpha.

“Sorry, please can you go and seat down there” Sarah felt a hand touched her as a petite young lady came to her view.

When she saw where the lady was referring to Sarah was slightly surprised. But seeing the expression on his face, and the way he stared at her, somethings became obvious to her.

Seeing as everyone eyes were on hers. With some slightly pleading. Sarah breath in and went to seat besides him. That was when the tension in the bus calm down. This came as a surprise to everyone.

The most feared alpha is in love? Everyone was shocked. Everyone looked at Sarah, trying to remember her face. In their mind they all swore never to offend her. To them she was to be treated like a princess, that was not to be tainted.

“What is the meaning of that” Sarah whisper to Adrian. Seeing the close proximity between them. This finally confirmed everyones suspicious.

“I am making them know that you are protected by me.” Adrian didn't respond he instead used via telepathy to talked to her.

Sarah was surprised. And she thought he was… instead he was only making everyone know that she wasn't to be touched, that she was under his care.

That was all nothing else. Sarah sigh not knowing why it hurt so much. Right now she just felt like giving this idiot a big slap.
