Several weeks went by and I fully adjusted into the system of the Academy. The early morning classes and whole day training. I couldn't believe anything could be more exerting than Mr Gregory's training but this was, but just by a little bit. They focused here more on endurance training than anything else. The academy was being extra busy, even more so than usual. I could see as several large trucks got in and passed through the roads into the dense forest behind the school. The excitement amongst students and others heightened until all everybody could talk about was the fighting realm. Class went on as usual though amongst us, the Commanders being extra taxing because they were all tensed, everybody was.I could even see it among ourselves, the slight hesitation or the fast action towards something, especially during training.I and Emily had decided to go and register ourselves for the realm two days before the week started. The competitions of the fighting realm usually took up a whole week. And I heard that there was a huge stadium behind the school where we had audiences from all over coming to watch, which explained what the trucks had been doing here. The podium was tense, as it should be. The past five days had been the most exciting and exhilarating thing that had ever happened to me, to us in general as a class. We had failed and hurt and cheered together, a few had even shed tears. We have had victories and defeats and we have had several of our mates beaten so bad we all thought they were all going to die. But we had made it, we were still thirty just like we were in the beginning, no one had died even though some had been severely injured.I felt as if the fighting realm more than anything had brought us closer together, had gotten to know names of everybody and I had opened my heart in a way I never did.The evil that is in my soul, that had been slowly eating away at my humanity, the evil that was King Hades had finally left me, because of my class and was back to being Cassie Hades, the one that had dreams. "It's so funny how I am not in the least bit worried. Are you?" I said to Emily.We had been walking for quite sometime, going in the direction we thought we could find a gem. We went back as silently as we had arrived, stealthily and quietly moving through the forest. We arrived just when a fight was ending. I could see incapacitated wolves on the ground groaning in pain, most of them not our own.I looked around and saw Emmanuel limping, there was a huge tear on his shin which was slowly closing up. Mitchel was seated grinning from ear to ear on one of the wolves on the floor."Damn it" shouted Emmanuel and he walked towards where we stood watching everything."How did it go?" He asked."We are good" I replied, still looking around at the Carnage that had happened.I nodded at the other three students, they looked fine. They nodded back, one of them even smiled."I think another group should go.
