Chapter 46

Rose POV

When we got to Damien's office, the door was cracked open and I could see a man sitting inside in a chair. The closer I got to the door the better I could see the man. From a distance away I thought he was an older man but he can't be any more than 26 years old.

He has short black spiky hair with piercing blue eyes. Even sitting down, his muscles bulge right out of his shirt. He looks like he doesn't have a nice bone in his body. Everything about him screams respect, yet his aura doesn't hold a high-ranking title.

While I was lost in my thoughts, Jackson dragged me into the room and was already pulling me down to sit on a couch. The tension is so high in here I swear you could cut it with a knife. Damien stared at the man in the chair, while the man in the chair looked everywhere in the room but at one of us three, and Jackson kept looking between the two of them.

"So what is the reasoning behind this?" Jackson asked like he had no idea what this was about.
