Chapter 64

Rose POV

I thought shifting into Jewels and running through the woods was exhilarating, soaring through the sky as Aria is soul-freeing. For the first time since I started to hear and feel Jewels and Aria, all three of us were calm and felt a sense of peace. Our mind was clear, the only thing we were thinking about is how amazing the wind feels gliding against our scales and wings.

The flapping of our wings almost sounds like gentle thuds of thunder as a storm is rolling in. Never in my 18 years of life have I felt free. At this moment there is not a single worry on my shoulders. Nothing matters other than the open sky surrounding us.

I let Aria have full control since this is her first time out and we haven't talked and bonded nearly as much as Jewels and I. Happiness seeped into my heart at how content Aria was in the sky, it was her home. I nudged Aria to look down at the ground and I was blown away.
