Chapter 60

Rose POV

Just before Alpha Maximus's wolf collided with us, both Jackson and Damien shoved me backwards as hard as they could and I went flying backwards. I hit the ground, hard, and started tumbling until my back hit something. Pain started to radiate from my ribs deep into my chest. It felt like I couldn't breathe.

The whole time while I was flying and rolling, all I could hear through the once silent night was the tearing of clothes from my mates shifting, snarling and the snapping of jaws. One noise really stood out to me, it was the thunderous sound of wolves colliding with one another.I laid there with my back still against the tree as I tried to catch my breath and waited for the feeling in my legs to return.

"Why am I not healing as fast I should be?" I screamed in my head so my mates weren't distracted by my yelling. I laid there trying to fight the urge to go to sleep.

"My poor child." Seline said as she ran the back of her fingers against my cheek.
