" Yash " Sherlin whispered, he was hugging her for the past hour, she could feel his breath steady but his heartbeat was still fast-paced.
This was certainly not good for his health, he can develop blood pressure this way or heart problems.
" Yash, " she called his name again,
" she left me," Yash said as Sherlin parted herself a little from him just to take a look at his broken self.
The pain in his eyes was evident but what confused her was the anger slowly building up.
She had never seen anger in his eyes for Shayra, didn't really understand him looking at the place they burned her dead body with anger.
" wo ladh sakti thi ( she could have fought) " Yash said as he parted himself from her and walked towards the ashes.
" Yash " Sherlin could sense the anger radiating off him.
" Wo ladh Sakti this! But no she wanted to leave me, and see she won, she fucking won, " Yash screamed as tears escaped his eyes.
He couldn't shake off the image of her taking his permission to leave, to leave this world.
Her last words to him, her love confession.
" she never loved me, " he said as he started squatting there. He doesn't know why but he just needed to feel his body, his muscles were numb, and he couldn't take it.
" Yash, Yash, you have handled yourself, " Sherlin tried to go near him but his squatting didn't help if she will try she will fall directly on top of him and that's the last thing they want in that mental condition.
" handle? What can I handle? I couldn't handle my wife, I'll handle myself? What a joke!" suddenly chuckles echoed in the whole area, it was quiet, too quiet.
It looked as if he was high on something.
Well, he was high on pain
Pain is a kind-of drug too, a drug people run away from, all their lives they want to avoid this drug but we never accept that we have become addicted to this drug.
Whenever hope flickers, this addiction comes and ruins and it ruined him.
Ruined him for the worst.
" Yash, " her voice quivered as her throat ached.
" she never loved me, she just played and now she left me, she fucking left me, " he kept saying that until a slap landed on his cheeks.
" don't " she showed him her index finger, her long nail was half broken because of the impact of the slap.
Yash looked at her.
" don't insult her love for you if you can't respect her love for you, Yash " he smirked at her with his red eyes.
" she left you for you, you can never understand it " she was about to walk away when Yash held her hand painfully tight.
" What the fuck does that mean? " he growled.
" her disease was incurable and she knew it, you wanted to take her to the world's best doctors just a few hours ago but she knew she couldn't be saved, " Sherlin said as her tear-filled eyes were fixed on him.
" she knew " she whispered as she held his collar.
He looked into her eyes, " she left you, for you, " with that she left him alone in the graveyard.
" No, Yash! "
" Yes, Shayra "
" No, Yash"
" Yes, Shayra! "
Sherlin looked at two grown-up married adults fighting again; they are parents of a year-old kid, but they are sometimes worse than kids.
" If you will not listen to then... then I will... "
" What... you will? "
" I will throw this... this flower on you, " Shayra said
" Do I look like I will be scared by this gentle flower? "
Shayra closed the distance between them but still did not step aside from the sofa; as Yash looked at his pretty wife; " Then I will tell maa that you are scared of lizard, " She said with an innocent face but she is anything but innocent at this moment.
" You would not do that, " Yash said as his face paled but Shayra smirked knowing this is her chance to make him agree to let her wear that dress to the party, otherwise in no situation he will agree to her.
" Try me, I will tell maa everything, " Shayra said with an evil grin
" So what? you think you will tell maa everything and she will listen to you, she will not believe you ever, " Yash said as he gulped his saliva.
What I wife I got god, change her mind, please!
Yash prayed in his mind.
Shayra's grin only widened; " I know but when she will see it herself she will agree with me, " Shayra said.
" What do you mean? " Yash asked her confused about what this evil woman was going to do to her innocent husband.
" this, " She said as she showed him a lizard in her hand; she was holding it by its tail; As soon as Yash saw it and his mind started making him run for his life.
Shayra was having a hard time controlling her laugh; the person whose one glare is enough for all buky men to pee in their pants is scared of Lizard? now Shayra can say she has her husband dancing to the tune of her fingers.
" Shayra, keep that back, " Yash said, by his tone, it was clear that he was afraid of the creature that Shayra was holding in her hands.
" First say that you allow me to wear that dress, " Shayra said as se held the dress in her arms.
" Shayra that dress is showing too much of your cleavage, " Yash said as he folded his arms in front of his chest. He was not going to let her wear this dress and she was not going to back up from this threat and argument slash play anytime soon.
well not before he agrees.
" Yash, pleaseeeee let me wear this dress to our party, " Shayra said thinking he may agree to her.
" No, This is our anniversary party and I am not letting anyone see you in that dress, " Yash said.
" So you are not agreeing? " Shayra asked as she raised her eyebrow at him; usually when husbands get this look from their wife it says ' dare you to say no, ' but Yash is Yash, the ex mafia man is not going to back out from the argument with his wife even if it means to see a lizard.
" Nope, Not now not ever, " Yash replied with a fake attitude.
" Think once again I am giving you a chance, " Shayra said.
" My answer will stay the same Mrs. Kapoor, " Yash teased her as he saw her fighting back a smile.
" Okay, then Mr. Kapoor, " Shayra said as she saw Mahira maa coming inside the house.
She threw the fake lizard in his hand and ran away fake crying towards Mahira, " Maa save me, save me please, " Shayra said as she stood behind Mahira.
" What happened mera baccha? " ( my Child ) Mahira said.
" Yash is teasing me and saying I can not wear that dress, he even has a liard in his hand, he is scaring me, " Shayra said as she fake sniffed in front of Mahira.
" Maa, she is lying, " Yash said as he somehow threw the fake lizard somewhere, " oh you young man come here! how dare you tease my daughter," Mahira said playing alone with them.
this is how their life has been after Ahana's birth; " Ahana, My baby, you tell me who said what to whom? " Shayra picked little Ahana in her arms as she started giggling.
the little soul is going to be 2 months old in 3 days; it is Shayra and Yash's first wedding anniversary; actually, it was 4 months back but because of Avinash's incident Shayra was not allowed to get from the bed; they celebrated their first wedding anniversary just in their room with a cake and Shayra's mood swings.
Today it is exactly 16 months of their wedding and Yash wants to give off a big party because Shyara has totally recovered from Ahana's birth. Everything is so beautiful for the couple.
Yash came from behind and kissed Shayra's cheek as Mahira smiled at the two; " Solve your problem and let her wear that dress Yash, it is a nice one, " Mahira said to her son before she walked towards her room.
" You lost the bet, Mrs. Kapoor, " Yash said as he leaned in towards her.
" yes, she agreed with me not you, " Shayra said as they both looked into each other's eyes.
Little Ahana was not getting any attention so she started crying for her mother and father's attention; " what happened, my little Princess, you are hungry? " Shayra asked her daughter.
" let's feed you, my princess, " Shayra said as they walked towards their room.

Adjusting her light blue saree with a silver border she walked towards Yash.“Yash you can’t be serious, aahana needs to know about her mother, you cannot hide these photos and everything,” Sherlin said as Yash handed her another photograph from the wall near the stairs.Sherlin caressed the photo with her fingers; it was from the day of Aahana’s naming ceremony; she was heavily pregnant but had held Aahana in her lap.“I always fulfilled her every wish; even when she asked me to marry you,” Sherlin could not look at him; that was the night
