Flora’s Pov

From my hidden perch high in the trees, I clutched the rough bark, fingers white against the dark wood. I was close enough to feel the heat from the explosion, the shock of it ripping through my chest like thunder. Flames danced in the night, licking the stone guard post as if it were kindling. A low rumble rolled through the ground beneath my feet.

My heart thudded painfully. I hadn’t expected it to be so loud. Or so real. But it was too late to turn back.

Amongst the smoke and confusion, I saw them, Sebastian’s shadow wolves, cloaked figures gliding soundlessly across the courtyard like ghosts. They moved with terrifying precision, avoiding every beam of light, every patrol. Straight toward Leila’s wing. Toward the chamber that I myself had described down to the last lock and curtain.

My breath caught in my throat.

There was no time for doubt now. No space for fear.

Still, a part of me wanted to scream. To call out and warn someone, anyone.

But I didn’t.

I stayed frozen

Sebastian’s POV I stood on the balcony of my high tower, watching the last light of dusk fade over the shadowed treetops. Below me, the courtyards of my stronghold lay quiet, save for the occasional flicker of torchlight as my minions went about their nightly duties. A thin smile curved my lips. At this moment, everything was as it should be, Leila was mine, the bond with her matched only by the power thrumming through my veins, and soon the entire Crimson Moon pack would bow or break before me. I drew a long breath of the cool evening air, tasting the promise of victory. In my hands, I held a folded piece of parchment: the final plan for the attack. I let it rest on the stone balustrade and closed my eyes, recalling the night I first performed the binding ritual. The runes had flared green, a cry of magic so fierce it had rocked the foundations of the chamber. I remembered Leila’s face pale, terrified, and yet quivering with awe as she sank into my arms, her mind cleaved clean of h

  • Three Alphas, One Luna   CHAPTER 41

Leila’s POVI woke to the soft glow of lanterns, the sharp tang of candle wax in the air, and the gentle murmur of water somewhere beyond the stone walls. My eyes fluttered open to find myself lying on silken sheets in a chamber I barely recognized, but knew, too, was Sebastian’s domain. The bed was vast, its carved headboard towering above me like a silent sentinel. Pillows of down cradled my head; heavy curtains of deep burgundy draped the windows, blocking any sign of dawn.I sat up slowly, heart fluttering between relief and confusion. My arm throbbed where Liam’s dagger blade had brushed me, not enough to kill, but enough to leave its sting. I remembered the soft horror in his eyes, the way he had cradled me in the tunnels. And I remembered then where I was... with Sebastian, not with them.“Good morning, Leila,” a soft voice said. I turned to see Sebastian standing across the room, hands tucked behind his back, cloak brushing the floor. Even in the dim lamplight, his face was sm

Alpha Orion’s POVThe moon rode high and cold in the velvet sky as I mounted my steed outside the packhouse gates. Night had descended fully, wrapping our territory in silver light and deep shadows. A chill wind rustled the pines, carrying with it the earthy scent of pine needles and distant moss. Beneath my cloak, I felt the weight of my mantle: not just leather and steel, but the life of our pack entrusted to me.I had heard rumors of Leila’s restlessness, her desperate longing to flee the safety my sons had built. I worried, as any guardian would, that the magic still tangled in her mind would push her toward danger. Tonight, I resolved to find her before she crossed the border. Under my leadership, no wolf of ours would walk alone into peril.I rode to the eastern boundary, where the forest grew thick and the underbrush tangled between ancient oaks. The moon’s pale beams lit a narrow path I knew well, a path once used by scouts but now largely forgotten. As I trotted forward, memo

  • Three Alphas, One Luna   CHAPTER 39

Elijah’s POV The corridors of the packhouse had never felt so quiet, nor so heavy with foreboding. I moved through the hallways at dusk, lantern in hand, weaving between carved pillars and tapestries that seemed to watch me as I passed. My skin prickled with unease, Leila was up to something, I was sure of it. It began with little signs. A door hinge that cracked when I knew it had been oiled. A drawer in her room that refused to stay closed, a faint scrape at the latch as if someone had forced it open. I found footprints by her window sill, bare and small leading toward the east wing where the patrols seldom ventured. My heart clenched. She was planning to leave. I hurried to my father’s chambers. Alpha Orion looked up from the maps he studied, his silver hair catching the lantern light. “Father,” I said, voice urgent. “I need more guards at the eastern gate. Patrol the corridors. Watch Leila’s wing closely.” Orion’s brow furrowed. “You think she might try to escape?” I hesita

Henry’s POV The dawn light was pale and cold as I slipped through the quiet halls, carrying a water basin and clean linens. My heart felt heavier than the weight of the world. Last night had been the worst, Leila’s nightmares had echoed through the corridors, cries that stabbed my ears. I had found her pacing her room at the edge of the sky-lit garden, hands clawing at her hair, tears staining her cheeks. This morning, I found her asleep in a low chair by the window, a thin blanket wrapped around her shoulders. Her hair spilled across the floor like ink in water. The moonlight had given way to dawn, and her pale face was pinched with exhaustion.I knelt beside her and gently lifted her hand, brushing my thumb across her palm. The cut on her forearm from Liam’s failed attempt to protect her had scabbed over, but the bruise beneath it was still dark.“Leila,” I whispered, dipping a cloth in water. “I need to wash this. It hurts.”Her eyes fluttered open, the irises clouded with sleep o

Liam's PovI could feel my own pulse hammering in the corridor outside her door. Every step I took echoed on the smooth stone floors, grinding against the silence like a blade. I’d circled this hallway half a dozen times already today, each footfall a promise and a threat. Guilt and rage warred inside me until my chest felt too tight to breathe.I stopped and pressed my forehead to the door, hand splayed over the wood. Behind this door was Leila, my Leila, yet somehow not the same woman who had laughed with me in the sun, who had rested her head on my shoulder, who had whispered my name like a prayer.I slammed my fist against the door. “Leila!” My voice came out raw, cracking. “Please just talk to me!”No answer. Only the muted echo of my own desperation.I pressed my shoulder into the wood and sank to my knees. Memories flooded me: her bright laugh as we chased each other through the training yard; the way her eyes sparkled when she teased me. That Leila had been soft, gentle, fierc
