Lycaea.
It was a ceremony to honor the alpha and the coming king of the kingdom. For Arcadians, it is the most important gathering everyone has been waiting.
To give their loyalty to their alpha, to honor his existence and to give their life in the service of their chief, there's no other things that they could've ever ask for.
But unlike any other ceremony and gatherings inside the kingdom, Lycaea is only allowed to the members of the Executives as well as to the higher-ranking officials of the kingdom.
So, the question is, why would the kingdom, especially Veto, would agreed to the trouble of setting up such an important ceremony for Shaun?
Given the fact that he is the only child of the former king, Lycaon. He was supposed to be the heir, and that is not a secret to the entire kingdom. So, in order to somehow give respect to that thing, Veto needed to proceed with it.
And he badly need to make it for he desire even greater p
"How.. co-could you.. d-do this.. to me?" I said as I felt a burning sensation all through out my entire body. "I've trust..I've trusted you.."My eyes laid to Austin's crying face. She is trembling and I could see the fear plastered on her pale face. She looks so miserable as she keeps on struggling, trying to escape from the tight rope that is tied around her body.It was too tight to the point of it almost dragging her skin every time she would move or squirm, trying to get out from it."Sh-Shaun.. " she whispered in between of her weeps. "I-I'm.... I'm scared." and then she finally burst out crying. Her eyes were all swollen and puffy. Her face is a mess.I clenched my fists and turned to glared at Veto, "How could.. " I couldn't continue what I want to say as I shake tremendously, from the tip of my toes to the tip of my hair."Well.." Veto bend down and smile to me, "the same reason as to why I killed you father." he said
"So, what's your plan now?" I said as I swing my sword towards his direction. He easily evaded it as he laughed at my question. "To tell you honestly, I don't have any sort of plans or goals." he laughed as he pushed me using his sword, "I just want to live a peaceful life.""You could stay here." I quickly bend down when I saw him powerfully swinging his sword horizontally towards me. "I mean, you should. Your father's here. You could do whatever you want to do as you stay here too."Tyler chuckled and shakes his head. "You are so different from your father when you're like this." he jumped away from me as he threw some daggers towards me. "Your father wouldn't easily forgive someone who has done wrong to him. At least that's how I knew him based on the stories."It was my turned now to laughed at him as I threw some daggers to him. "He's not like that at all. I mean that's what Priam told me." I said grinning as I saw him having a hard time evading my a
Everyone wants something magical to happen to them even just once in their life. People are vulnerable to fictional and unworldly stories that could somehow take them away from the cruel world that they are living in. And unfortunately, I am one of those who's desperate to escape the reality. "Werewolves or Lycanthropes are mythological beings that can morph both into a wolf like figure and human. Lycanthropes, just like normal wolves has sharp fangs and claws but almost five times bigger than a normal wolf. These morphers were known for their bloodthirsty lust for killing people and animals. They were always seen as strong and almighty creature with only but one flaw, temper. The moment a lycanthrope failed to control their emotions and temper, they will immediately turn into their monstrous form." "You really do have a thing for this, aren't you?" Justin said, unable to hide the disbelief in her voice, as if she is seeing something strang
The aroma of coffee could be smelled in every corner of the shop. Latte, Cappucino, Brewed, and Black. The atmosphere was a little bit rowdy and loud as the cafe was packed of workers and students combined. Clock says it's 9 am, no doubt the cafe gets this energetic and noisy. I took on the last order for my morning shift and hurriedly removes the apron and cap that I'm wearing. For sure, Justin is annoyed waiting over 30 minutes now. She's not the type to wait for someone longer than 15 minutes. I could honestly see her face screaming at the top of her lungs. I grab my things and hurriedly fixes my self, "Manager! I'll be going now!" I shouted at Peter, the manager of the cafe I'm doing part-time. "Yeah! Be careful on the way! Say hi to Justin for me!" Peter said without turning his head. Blending the last order, I gave to him Peter is the manager/owner of the cafe that I am working at. Justin and I know him eve
Two The wind blew harder as she just walked away without looking back. Without hesitation, her foot took determined step after another. She shows no signs of doubt in her every moves. She really is confident and sure as hell in her every step. It was as if taking those steps would never cause her regrets. She is really amazing. "She's always like this" Justin suddenly said looking at her friend who is getting further and further away from us. "It's like she could leave anytime she want. Without having second thoughts, she could leave everything and everyone behind if she really have to. That's crazy and selfish Austin". I look at Justin, only to see her smiling but her face shows the complete opposite of that smile. She looks like she is about to cry. "Oh... Ju-Justin, are you okay?" I said and rushed over to her side but she raised her hand to stop me from taking another step. She smiled and took a deep breath, "Yes, I'm fi
The sound of bumping spoon and fork, the different stories the people inside were talking, the chimes that ringing whenever someone would enter, it's like a well-balanced music ringing to my ear every night being in the counter of this cozy diners. Between the cafe and this place, I find the atmosphere in here more relax and calm. The wood design of Feel at Home makes it more welcoming and relaxing. It feels like we are inside an old house made of nothing but woods. The freshly cooked foods that we are serving would surely salivate anyone's mouth and that alone adds flavor to the homely essence of the diners. The people were happily talking and sharing their experiences. An intimate moment, unlike in the cafe where the customers are usually always in a hurry. The rush hour of dinner time just passed over an hour ago. The staffs were completely taking their break, while I am staring beyond the windowpane along the wooden door. Justin would usua
"That's it!" I said and immediately turned off the projector. My students yawn as they were fixing theirselves and their things, "Time to go home! But don't forget your critique paper, okay?" I added and closed my laptop. Last classes really takes toll on me. After every last class ever since I teach in this university, I would really feel tired and exhausted, it feels as if the last ounce of my energy has been depleted and I can't even lift a finger. Teaching the students is not that hard, I mean really. But talking for a couple of hours every class, now that is exhausting. The students wave their hands at me and I wave back as I sat on my chair, resting my tired body. "Yo Shaun!" Grey shouted leaning his self on the edge of the door. "Oh? I thought you already go home? Didn't your class ended a while ago?" I said, packing my things. I walked towards him. He bump his fists to mine and grab my things, "I thought it would b
Last night is sure the most tiring day I had for the past 19 years. Aside from that rainy lonely night when I runaway. Anyway, the alarm has been going on for over 10 minutes now. I reached for the damn alarm clock and turn it off. Slowly, I open my eyes looking straight into the ceiling. The world is quite spinning. My head is really heavy like I have a 10-kilogram of metal bar on top of my head. After the conversation with that cocky professor last night, I immediately went home. Unable to process all the information from the moment I read the book Justin gave me, to that conversation, I slowly dozed off. And here I found myself, wearing the same clothes I have last night. Eew. Despite having some issues with my head and everything, I need to pull myself up and start my day. There's no time for someone like me to take a rest and take it easy for my life is always on the line. It's been like that for almost five years. Yet, there are still day
