I continued to lie there scared, not knowing what to do. Why was I placed in this kind of position? To which I would have to kill the only person who was ever nice to me. The only person who ever meant anything to me other than Brazen. The only person who did what was necessary so that I knew I was safe. My stepfather never did anything like that for me.
