"Rose, you are the most beautiful woman I have ever seen. You are a sweet, caring, and very smart woman. It will be an honor to marry you. Will you marry me?" Miller Robinson, one of the managers of ' Q SOL Software Solutions, and also the direct boss of Rose is now sitting on one knee while holding a ring in his hand. They both are surrounded by their colleagues.

Miller invited the entire department to dinner. Rose joined them out of courtesy. But she never thought that her boss would propose to her in front of so many people, putting her on the spot. To her utter horror, her colleagues are looking at her expectantly, waiting for her to extend her hand and accept his proposal. But Rose is too shocked to think about them. She took a step back and away from Miller. Her eyes are wide with shock and confusion.

"Mr. Robinson?" she gasped. Usually, she will be the type of person who would never do anything to hurt anyone intentionally. She would go out of her way to help others. But now, she cannot accept this proposal to make her boss happy. The same man who gave her a job when she desperately needed one a year ago.

Miller is angry. But he hid his anger under the mask of a gentle smile. He has been pursuing Rose for a year now. But she is as romantic as a rock and is a workaholic. Slowly he stood up to his full height, noticing how the other employees were now murmuring among themselves and giving Rose stinky eyes. He has the image of a perfectionist in the company. And he is the most eligible bachelor in their department too. He has the attention of all the female employees of his company. But he picks women for his one-night stands out of Q SOL to maintain his image spotless. He can see how everyone is feeling bad for him. And this is what he wanted. He wanted to push Rose into a corner and force her to agree.

"I am sorry, Rose. I know how shy you are. I should have guessed that you would feel uncomfortable with so much attention. I hope you consider my proposal when you are not as tense as you are now. No hard feelings" he spoke like a gentle man. But he is not a gentleman at all. He is a womanizer and the cousin of the late John.

Rose gave him a shaky smile. She picked up her handbag and rushed out of the posh restaurant after mumbling to be excused. She doesn't remember how she reached her small one-bedroom apartment. But once she is inside the safety of her apartment, she leaves the breath that she was holding from the moment Miller proposed to her. She respects him because he was there when she needed a friend. He was there when she was breaking apart after coming away from Kairo, her husband. He knows that she is married and she is still in love with her husband. She never thought about him as more than a good boss and a friend. A proposal from him was the last thing she expected. She pulled out the ring that was hanging around her neck on a platinum chain. The ring, which her husband gave her. Tears of grief slipped from her eyes and bathed the ring.

"I miss you so much. Will I be ever able to move on and forget about you Kairo? I know it's bad to feel jealous of Sylvia, but I can't help myself. How I wish that it's me whom you hold in your heart. Maybe in another life" she whispered sadly.

In another country, Kairo is looking at the picture of Rose that was taken during the Bachelorette party of Livi and Alesso. Rose is looking so beautiful and she is smiling shyly at the camera.

"I love you, Rose. I love you so much. But why do you love someone else? Miller, is that the guy you love? He is the only man I have seen you with. Do you know I have my men protecting you? They will inform me about everything you do. Today that asshole proposed to you, and I think I will find you wearing his ring from tomorrow. How I want to rip him into pieces" Kairo said with anger. He is holding his empty alcohol bottle with his other hand, which he threw away with anger and jealousy.

Just then, someone snatched the picture of his wife away from his hands. He was ready to kill the offender, only to find Alessandro.

"How long are you planning to mop around like this? Don't you think it's time to stake your claim your claim on your wife?" Alessandro asked before making himself comfortable in another pool chair beside Kairo.

"Give me the picture back" Kairo demanded, ignoring Alessandro's suggestion.

Alessandro smirked.

"She is in love with someone else" he snapped at Alesso.

Alessandro rolled his eyes.

"But she is still your wife. It doesn't matter whom she has feelings for. Only the husband has the right to his wife. You have a lot of time to make her fall for you" Alessandro pointed out.

It must be because of the fact that Kairo himself wants Rose to come back into his life, or his love for Rose turned into Obsession. Whatever the reason, he started considering Alessandro's words.

"We are mafia men. We take what we want. Don't behave like a gentleman now. Go and bring her back. Livi and Russell will be elated to have her back. You are a gone case as it is. I asked Naim to make preparations for you to go to Texas. Your private jet would leave in two hours. Your car is waiting outside, ready to drive you to the private airstrip" Alessandro shared helpfully.

'He is fucking right. I am a mafia man. Since when did I start to stand by my word? I promised to let her go when I didn't know that I was in love with her. But I want her for myself now. Fuck my promise. I will give her the world if she comes with me. I will not give her any other option but to come back. Wife, here I come ' he thought as his heart started pounding with anticipation.

Kairo stood up and snatched Rose's picture away from Alessandro and left without a word, followed by Alesso's amused chuckle.
